People of Ft Lendill
I offer a treaty of mutual benefit.
We both will gain and our enemies in the TRILAT will suffer.
Let us begin by discussion of the terms of a Nonaggression pact.

General Deer,
With all respect I am afraid that my people will not ratify such a treaty until they are seen as individuals and not as property as your previous treaty with the Earth Expeditionary Force has made abundantly clear.

I hope that an understanding can be met...

I would be very pleased to discuss the rights of Kias and other elder races under the Iron Republic. Sector General Stark is a Kias and he hasn't been killed on sight. There is hope for your people.

Unless you are talking about SUARM. Those "creatures" are quite clearly mekanoids.
IR law is quite clear that mekanoids and all other forms of robotic life will not get the same rights as organic life.

It is the SUARM as to whom I was referring to.
Despite their being mekanoid life they are individuals under my eyes and the eyes of the local government that I and my pears have set up. And the closed minded views of you and of the Iron Republic as they are now will make it quite impossible for peace to ever be truly achieved.

I bid you good day Sector General Deer!

Just so I am clear Commander Mor'aye'ahn, you would only agree to a deal with the Iron Republic if they recognized your robots as equal citizens? You believe that all robots are to be treated as humans? Does that mean that you would be fine with a large scale immigration of Dread Meks into your territories as they would be considered people and not war machines? Strictly hypothetically speaking of course I am not suggesting that it will be done, just an example. Don't want to give you the wrong idea, that is just the only mechanized force that pops into my head. I am not very familiar with types of robots.
Do the SWARM have higher mental faculties then Dread Meks? Do they have emotions? Can they think for themselves?

Hive Queen Ar'yay,
The SUARM though made and not born as most organics would understand them have ascended to individual thought and have emotions on the same level as earthers, olgogs, and other biological entities of this dimension. They are not programmed with them they learn and their logic engines evolve. I have seen the rage of the SUARM as they fight against those who would otherwise enslave them, I have seen their sense of loss when comrades fall in battle, I have even felt the sense of joy in their vocal processors when great victories are won.

As for the analogy of the Dread Mek's I personally have had no dealing with them. However if they were to come and honestly wish to join our society we would not turn them down. The same could be said for Iron Republic Bretheren if they wished to be honest members of society.

As I see it now the only things that separate our cultures are ideals. SUARM Space see that creation does not always has to come from destruction.

Your straight forwardness is bold and appreciated on my end Mr. Mor'aye'ahn.
Your offer for a place where Dreadmeks can run free and Brethren live in harmony touches me deeply, deep in my soul.
In my role as a Director it is not common to see such idealism. I would have it rewarded. We have 100,000 Dreadmeks and five million Brethren in need of a home since their homeworld was destroyed by World Worms.
I will allow them to emigrate into your S.U.A.R.M. space and begin going through the process of becoming Citizens. We will watch their progress and if they decide to become full fledged people of your worlds I will personally propose to the board that we recognize your people as more than just property. Until otherwise noted the Brethren and Dreadmeks will have dual citizenship. They already on ships on their way to your most populous planet for immigration processing.
I hope you can prepare living quarters and local employment for them.
I can't wait to hear about your progress in integrating the Dreadmeks into common society.

I appreciate your enthusiasm Sir Marks.
However as with any individual of organic or inorganic nature wishing to become a citizen of SUARM SPACE they must go through the immigration offices above the core planet. They must each individually, Dread Mek and Brethren alike be screened for off world contaminants and inspected for dangerous contraband. I hope you understand it is not an issue of trust merely a precaution that must be upheld. We cannot make special cases just for 'visiting dignitaries.'

Hoping that this will further the chances of peace in the universe,
Commander Mor'aye'ahn.

Ok so let me get this straight. Our people would have to go one at a time through immigration to be accepted by your "government". But we are just suppose to give you blanket rights for all your mekanoids.
I got a counter offer. We'll set up an immigration hub at all approaches to SUARM space. Your mekanoids can go one at a time for scanning for "dangerous contraband". If they pass they get a special limited passport. If they fail we jettison them into the closest sun.
The extra special part is any SUARM caught in IR space or in the plane of awareness won't be killed on sight like now. Instead they'll be disabled, and sent to a special new penal colony where they will be forced to breed new SUARM in captivity. At that point they and their SUARMy kids will be property of the IR. Don't like it Kias?
Come get me, I've included my coordinates in this message.

Oh Sector General Deer you are such a card!

But seriously as it happens right now we are very protective of our borders for the reason that no one in the galaxy really gets along! Many governments hate the Iron Republic and that hate is often reciprocated in kind by violent deeds and atrocities. Not to mention how everyone feels about the Unity, the Kassanthians, and so on!

The immigration and customs hubs are in place so that the safety of our sector is maintained. I have heard enough stories from ancient earth and their problems with terrorists that I have to make sure that the safety of my citizens is maintained above all else! Surely a man in your position can understand. Or has working with 'easily replaceable' clone soldiers diminished your value of life?

I eagerly await your next transmission in this little philosophical debate of ours,
Commander Mor'aye'ahn

Mor'aye'ahn,

You speak like a Kias, sounding reasonable even when you pervert nature. Machines are not people no matter how well they can make believe.
You are proud of your creation, as well you should be. Self replicated robotic warriors have long been a goal of the Iron Republic. That doesn't make them worthy of citizenship.
Next you will want equal rights for ship's A.I.s and coffee makers.

Sector General Deer,
As we appear to be at am impasse in our philosophical ideologies I must say that lets just agree to disagree and call it a lifetime...

Have a nice day and good luck at sickbay... I hear the process of removing ones head up their anal cavity is quite routine in Iron Republic medicine... though with military leaders it is hard via the size.

Speaking of an impasse facing SUARM, a few months ago I offered you a Nonaggression pact so we could team up IR and Ft Lendill against the TRILAT.
Shot me down on that despite my gracious offers.

Now I'm treatyed up with Unity, and you seem to have gotten yourself on the wrong side of the Kasanthians. You should have been more open back then.

They say political stuff makes strange bedfellows, but when I got the call this morning oh I gotta tell you how elated I was. Now I can just sit back and watch you and Layne Yr beat each other bloody.

And thanks to your buddy Ragman I can watch it on Pay Per View.

Ciao,
