I am sorry that i don't have more time to speak with you, but i am currently trying to exit a active conflict zone. I would greatly appreciate if you didn't destroy or damage Haephestom. I understand that you have some problem with Mor'aye'ahn, but other than sending troops to help clear the factories, i have never seen him step foot on the planet. Any attack will be a severe breach of the current 'peaceful' relations we are currently enjoying.

Dear President,

Admiral Layne Yr has every intention of putting the full force of the TRILAT against one half of the planet. In my experience, your words will not dissuade her. All you can hope to do with that stance is ensure total destruction of the planet. May I suggest a better tactic.

Take full control of the planet, have Mor'aye'ahn remove all of his forces. Apologize to the admiral and use your good graces to have them find a different target for their aggression. It is the only way.

as much as i want to believe that you ideas would work, based on my knowledge of Karsanthian ideals, i doubt anything is going to stop her. most likely she is just trying to save face before commiting an attrocity. my thoughts are not baseless. I lived in kasanth for several years and still own a house there. I am well versed in their philosiphy and religion as my adopted father felt they had some merit but that they were wrong on several points.

He also told me to never give in to a kasanthian because they feel it is a sign of weakness and that the week were worth less than their nightmare slaves. I am sure that you have seen how they treat those.

I'm so so sorry that you took such offense for my explanation of not helping you in your endeavors and hiding things from the rest of the tri-lat that are Unity members.

I have spoken to other members of the Trilat and even members of the Iron Republic and given them no's as well as my reasons for not helping them with projects or selling them items, and I have heard no hurt feelings. Layne Yr sat back in the shade of an Umbrella under the Draco Epsilon star on its painfully dull 7th world. The fighting had not started yet, and Admiral Yr was bored. Several of her Eye Spies, all gifts from the Unity, floated aboard the bridge of the Planet Despoiler, the Grace of the Bishop. On its bridge was Captain Gos'zer, and his brave crew. They were in their perfect uniforms, surrounded by their Nightmare slaves. One of the Eye spies were also plugged directly into the command console to project her voice through the hailing system, but only when she wanted it to.

I am not trying to start a war over Mor'aye'ahn. If you weren't trying to provoke one, you would have chosen a planet in the region of Swarm space. Instead you choose one were any collateral damage could spill over into Uloh territory. As you have stated, I served in the Border Wars, I know exactly how much collateral damage comes from a kasathian campiagn. I have seen the terror weapons that seem to be Kasathian first strike options. I would prefer if you pursued your private vendette against mor'aye'ahn else.

I have not threaten you. Just stated that seeing as your forces have a history of indiscriminate attacks during conflict that you can not sufficantly show that your forces will not attack mine or the civilain population, were you to take action against the suarm. If you would like, i can try to clear an area of the planet that is not currently in use. we have several factory cities that have not yet been cleared by EOD specialists. i can pull all my people and cilivians out of one of them and you and Mor'aye'ahn can have your war game there to see who is right.

In fact, if you want, i will look into finding some judges to determine the winner in this conflict. i would volunteer to be one, you can pick one of your choosing and we could find someone from niether of our groups to be a third. If this sounds like a working comprimise let me know.

Actually on second thought, I would be forced to excuse myself from judging. It would be better if Mor'aye'ahn picked one of the judges. I will attempt to find an judge that wil favor neither of you to be the third.

I propose that if you, Admiral Layne wins, then Mor'aye'ahn must leae the system. If he wins then you will leave peacefully, he can stay and you promise to leave this system out of your disagrements. I care not what you do elsewhere as long as it doesn't endanger my people. all of them both E-strain and earther.

Condition 1: We each shall choose one Champion to represent us in battle. The champion may be of any faction, and may not choose to refuse based on alliances or treaties. As long as you and Mor'aye'ahn agrees to this term I will contact my champion and convince them how important this relatively peaceful wargames will be. There shall be no surrender, and the battle must be until total dismemberment. I may not be my own Champion and Mor aye ahn may not be his own Champion. No final death.


Condition 2: this shall be recorded and every year on its anniversary shall be replayed in schools in both the Kasanthian Federation and in SUARM space.

If my champion is dismembered I will apologize publicly to all citizens of Haephestom.

If Mor's champion is dismembered then he shall apologize for wasting my time for weeks when I attempted to offer an olive branch.

My dear Admiral Layne,

I offer you a way to settle this without excessive destruction. You came to my system with a weapon of mass destuction and proceed to threaten me from the start. I have attempted to be a voice of reason and civility. You do not get to set the terms of the competition. I will offer each of you a chance to give your imput, but I reserve the right to say no to any terms i feel are not in the best interests of the planet.

I am attempting to give you a chance to solve your problems with Mor'aye'ahn, while not respondibg to what ammounts to an open declaration of war by you upon the UFC. This is how we view it whenever a foriegn nation enters our space uninvited with a weapon of mass distruction. If you do not want to accept the terms of the opportunity I am attempting to give you, then I will have to take your actions at their face value.

An attack upon Haephestom is an attack upon the UFC. I am most sure that the EEF would look upon such actions as an attack upon the EEF. The UFC does not recieve funding from the EEF but we are allied for defense. I helped to create the UFC to safeguard life from the depredations of the ascended and Demonic forces at loose in the universe.

You accuse me of being under the control of the Angels of Desolation, and yet you are one of their greatest allies. you protect their colonies and aid their fleets. They have agents on most of your planets. How do you even come close to saying i am under their influence when you worship and follow a Demon yourself.

The AOD has no influence on the E-strain of the Uloh and Stuben hives. They choose how to live thier lives. our scientists are trying to find ways to free them from thier programming that forces them into conflict with the other races of the universe.

So if you still feel that you must settle things with Mor'aye'ahn here on Haephestom, then you will do it under my terms and watchful eye, or you can go find him elsewhee and do whatever you want. When he gives me a counter offer to your terms i will decide the final terms and let you both know. Until then, please have your forces remain on your ship and await my communication.

Admiral Yr and President Ragman,

I believe that I may have an idea that may solve the issue. President Ragman, you wish to keep the violence of of hephaestom. And Admiral Yr you wish for me to pay for some slight you believe I have made against you.

This whole ordeal has begun over my denying Admiral Yr my NESA services to build a structure for her research. And now she wishes for a gladiatorial battle between a champion of her choosing and a champion of mine. Such a contest is honestly not my style... but it would be entertaining. So here is my counter offer. I will build a structure in neutral territory out of a lifeless rock of a planetoid. The outside will be terraformed whilst the inside will be retrofitted into a factory floor that can be used by the winner of the competition.

As Yr and I both are having disagreements each of us will set up a squad of seven. No leyas summonings or creations to augment the number of the squads and each squad can have any weapons or artifacts they can carry without the aid of shadow cocoons. In addition no nano-plague or annihilation may be used by either squad.

The competition is similar to SUARM training exercises, they have to either eliminate the opposing squad inside of the assembled structure or capture the information from the opposing squads data console deep inside their starting area. Think the Earthers war game of capture the flag.

Each squad entering will have all honors entering and leaving. All A.I.'s will be unaltered and un-copied and all organics will be restored to life the way they were when they entered. The winning squads faction will keep the facility whilst the losing one will be escorted off world to their respected vessel.

And in addition the whole contest will be broadcast via the banking guild and viewing rights sold to those who wish to see this spectacle.

I have listened to your suggestions. here is my final offer:

1 - the battle will take place in the city that i have chosen. It has not been cleared of IEDs yet, and i am looking to have more added just for you.

2 - you will each be allowed to choose your champion and their team. Each Champion will command a squad of 6 people. i will need to know who the team member are, but will allow you to keep your champions secret till the start of the conpetition. And no, Layne, you can not force someone to be your champion. they must agree of thier own choice. you are not allowed to chooose each other as you champion.

3- you will each be able to choose a judge to serve on the panel. ther will be 1 to 3 additional judges. thier decisions will be final.

These terms are non-negotiable. if either of you choose not to follow the rules, you will be disqualified and lose any chance at winning the contest. If either of you choose not to agree to these terms, then you must immediately leave the system and cease your conflict.
