Week 4 Planetary Recover Mission- Draco Epsilon 7 and the Battle of the Ascended & Descended

The Planet Draco Epsilon 7 is still full of people going about their lives, but many of the most well known Ascended Beings and Ancient Evils had taken physical forms or Hosts. They are preparing for an all out-brawl on Draco Epsilon 7 that might destroy the Universe.

One one side are Abel Dragonsbane, Valkyrie Captain Kincaid, Jeremiah Strykker, the Brotherhood Monk Sirra, and the other heroic beings.

In the middle are Garmin Fe, Admiral Layne Yr, Angel D, the Ancient Evils

And on the last side is Marcos Dannor (Avatar of Warmonger) and the being known as Warmonger's Forgotten who is armed with all the powers absorbed from his targets.

This mission is open to All Players.

Only actions listed on this mission thread will count as locked in for player actions.

Anyone involved in this mission is open to attacks from incredibly powerful beings, all gloves are off on this thread. Don't post to this mission unless you accept the worst of circumstances in the case of failure.

"Sira, get the forgotten, If this goes down now it will tear reality a sunder." Kincaid whispered to the monk.

As we watched everyone gearing up for the battle royale he said, "I will cover you, just get to the forgotten and take him down. If he can hold you off or gets the upper hand I have an ace up my sleeve." The Valkyrie captain noted motioning to the bag on his back. "I will buy you the time you need and make sure you can fight the forgotten unaccosted."

Kincaid notes the position of all the others before pulling on the universe to buy them time. A heavy freezing fog rolls off of the air around Kincaid quickly filling the room. It is saturated with air leyas causing tiny eddies and vortexes to form. Hopefully destroying LOS in thermal, leyas, and normal sight. Kincaid will use the fog like sonar, detecting motion in the air leyas not created by the effect. He gets low polearm out front ready to attack any foes that approach.

Admiral Layne Yr would use the fog to her advantage. This was the one time that Angel D and the Creeping Darkness could be destroyed with one fell stroke. Layne Yr smiled a feral grin.

Layne Yr would go for the stealth kill on Angel D if possible (driving us both closer to TRILAT line if it fails, this is one gal that doesn't want to get caught with a Daemonsbane in the back).

Only once the Creeping Darkness is "neutralized", will Layne Yr move on to work alongside Garmin Fe in taking on the Forgotten and Warmonger's Avatar, Marcus the Morgothian.
In case of Layne Yr's death, her special pendant will be taken from the Statue of Granduer in the Suburb of Yr and taken to the Tomb of the Nightmare Lord by her apprentices.

She would give "the good guys" a wide berth.
Layne just hoped she didn't break a nail scooping Angel D's Eyes from their sockets.

"This is a prime opportunity for us, the Ancient Evils' avatars all gathered in one place, an all out brawl of ascended beings it will be great to see if they kill each other." The Red Fist commando Ul'athi heard this in his head, and he couldn't agree more. He was proud to have been picked for this assignment. Yes, he would almost certainly fall in this battle but he was happy to lay his life on the line for a chance to strike at the avatars of the demons. The plan was simple, he wasn't trying to win just give the "good" guys a better chance at winning. Ha, the thought that there were anyone "good" at this battle made him chuckle. He would come out of the Energy bridge, declare himself like all the others have done so.

"I am Ul'athi, champion of the Hive Queen Ar'Yay, by her will the Ancient Evils shall fall."

Then when the fight starts Ul'athi shall start manipulating the heat within the heads of the avatars of the ancient evils causing a Brain Fever to distract them from the battle. The order shall be Warmonger's Avatar, The Creeping Darkness' Avatar, The Avatar of Xephon, Avatar of The Accuser, then the Avatar of the Maw of the Deep, moving on to Warmonger's Forgotten and for good measure Zadoni Celyse
Then if Ul'athi is still alive he will move against the Avatar of Warmonger, super heating the metal of his weapons in attempt to melt the metal that makes up the blades. Then moving in to strike him down. Ul'athi figured that success was a long shot but even if he fails, if he makes it even a small bit easier for the Avatars of the Ancient Evils to be defeated then his death would have been worth it and he will have proven his worth to his Queen
He felt the Love of the Hive fill him with confidence, he would do this, and he give his life for his people, holding the obsidian blades given to him by Queen Ar'Yay herself, he moved into the swirling portal and into his destiny.

Garmin Fe knew now that the moment had come to face the forces that defined destiny itself. In this battle there were no mystical forces pulling strings from on-high to ensure great victory, for the forces that would do such things were here in the flesh. Unless, of course, there was something greater.

He readied his hammer and sword, but he knew they were but weak things to fall back on. Only the Zela metal of the sword itself was of any consolation. He gritted his teeth and got into a fighting stance.

Moments later...

Garmin Fe fell to the ground, his chest wide open and spilling with blood. Standing not far from him Marcos Dannor crushed the Borvian Dragon Crystal he tore from Garmin's fragile body. A smirk across his pretty little face said everything. Staggering to rise again, the general saw no need to quit now. Disarmed, wounded, and dying, Garmin let out an uncontrollable bellowing laugh. The laughter continued and in the heat of battle became contagious. Every person with a warrior's spirit knew the thrill that this battle was offering, and rejoiced in it.

Garmin pulled out his Zela shield and signaled to his allies up above. Descending at incredible speed were 7 Golden Nephilim and 6 warrior riders. Garmin mounted his giant and streams of light began to form between the metallic behemoths. They surrounded Marcos Dannor and Warmonger's Forgotten. Without warning the giant he rode flung him back into the fray and Garmin aimed his shield for the Forgotten's abominable crown. The other warriors stood and watched as this was not to be their fight.

Sira cocked his head to one side and considered Kincaid's plan. How does one attack an ascended being who could control gravity itself? Doing so would definitely waste his chance to attack and banish several fiends. But then again, wasn't Warmongers Forgotten an ascended fiend? Could fiends ascend? What if by virtue of being ascended Warmongers Forgotten was no longer a fiend and was actually doing the Universe's bidding?

Sira dismissed those thoughts. He had been sent here by The Brothers of the Mind to be the champion for the entire order. More than twelve thousand monks had their entire being focused on him. He would not deviate from his mission or let his brothers down! The Brothers of the Mind had told him that Warmongers Forgotten would rip the Universe apart and must be stopped at all costs.

Yes! Sira said to himself, there must be no deviation of thought, will or body.

Glancing over at Kincaid Sira gave a short nod of his head and then opened his mind to the will of the Buddhas. A warm tingling buzz that ran from his toes all the way to the top of his head as he received their response. Interesting... By expanding his senses Sira could feel the wrongness of the soulless population of Draco Epsilon 7 going about their daily business. The wrongness was so strong that it almost drowned out the immense amount of power that had gathered near him.

"Save the souls of the planets inhabitants... I feel that they might be the fuel that gives this fiend its power." Sira whispered to Kincaid.

Delving into the planet itself Sira found his answer. Even ascended beings need to know they are being attacked to put up a defense and unless in flight almost no one defends below themselves.

Taking a deep breath Sira entered further into a deep meditative state while focusing his chi on the ground. When the time came he would be ready.

(*OOC* The Plan: at the second the battle begins Sira will meld with the earth and move directly under Warmongers Forgotten. Once in position he will wait until Warmongers Forgotten is properly positioned and then come up blasting it with Acid Stream. Then he will attack it with everything that he has until he can banish it. If this actually works out then Sira will heal himself and attack Xephon, the Accuser and the Maw until he has banished them. No injury, threat or act will keep him from these ends unless: one of his previous companions is in dire trouble or the Buddhas guide him to another target/task.)

Jeremiah watched the mood shift in the crowd. It was a subtle thing first the conversations faded then the boasting. Everything grew still as if before a storm.
One that might destroy everything.

He reached for his com bead to call for a shuttle to pick him up. His hand stopped half way. Pick him up for what? It seemed a very real possibility that the Universe itself wasn't going to survive this fight. Where do you run from that? His hand dropped to his side as he felt a profound bleakness in his soul. He surveyed the gathered creatures once again. The ancient evils on one side wearing the skins of people some of the ascended were doing the same thing. Was there really any difference? Did it matter? He was standing on a world of the dead. Every man women and child killed in the name of this sick game these "higher" beings played. It was a crime on a scale he could hardly grasp and he was going to make sure someone regretted it. He reached up and keyed his mic. "Jeffers? Are you listening?" He called to his aide.
"Yes Sir, we've heard everything. Are you ready for pick up? The fleet is set for shadow jump."
"Good send home everything except the Dauntless. I have an idea."

A short time later Jeremiah stepped out of the bulk shuttle wearing his power armor, Peace. He was followed by two Havoc and two Bulldog striders. His head still tingled from the memory scan. Hopefully he wouldn't need it but it never hurt to be safe. He tilted his chin and keyed the command band of his radio. "How are the remote units working?" A moment latter he was answered by Jeffers. "Fine Sir all four relays are green. Also Sir, the Captain tells me we're in geo-synch above you so if you need fire support we can provide it."
"Good," Jeremiah answered as he checked his ammo and power feeds for the tenth time. "Every little bit helps." He started off toward the gathering as the shuttle lifted behind him.

Jeremiah has Peace his modified armor armed with a missile launcher, twin rail guns, his annihilation pistol and two detour devices (loaded with Damocles strikes) and a laser designator. The four striders are being piloted by lancer power armors that are in turn being remote controlled from orbit. The Havocs are to act as guards while the Bulldogs will engage targets he designates from long range. He is also carrying every zela, plasma, acid and annihilation round that he was able to get his hands on in addition to standard HE missiles. For the most part he will employ long range tactics aiming to weaken and disable targets but not closing with them. The detours are to be used if he needs some breathing space or to finish off a crippled target. He will call in orbital strikes to weaken, distract or finish off any ancient evils he can. His annihilation pistol will be used for called shots to the head of the ancient evils whenever a chance presents itself and to finish them off if possible. He will act in support of other attacks and both he and his guard will provide cover for everyone however Ceyles, Kincaid and Sira get priority whenever possible.

Peace's auto injectors have a full load of trauma nanites to bring him back and repair the armor. If the damage is to great or the nanites run out Jeremiah has just had a memory recording made and left a genetic sample on the shuttle for cloning on Refuge later.

The Da'uhnb Mercs were a crafty bunch. They were in orbit in a tiny shuttle, watching the show.

On their panel, there was a blinking light. It was a signal from the Ambassador in charge of the mission. Everything was going to plan. The Da'uhnb Mercs lifted up their Zela revolvers, checked their ammunition loads, and strapped a few last grenades to their tactical vests.

It was time

--Explanation of plan. The second fighting starts the Da'uhnb Ambassador will teleport away.
200 Da'uhnb Mercs will teleport in.

Target Number 1- The Avatar of Warmonger known as Marcus Dannor. Every attempt will be made to separate him from the corrupt copy of the Daemonsbane sword. Secondary Objective is to steal the Eye of Warmonger and the helmet it is set in off Marcus' head.
One hundred Da'uhnb, teleporting in and out will be tasked with these objectives. The biggest threat on the battlefield is the corrupt copy of the Daemonsbane Sword.

Target Number 2- The Forgotten of Warmonger. Fifty Da'uhnb held in reserve will wait until the Forgotten of Warmonger reveals its evil trap. When trap goes off (if possible, don't know what trap will be but Im sure there is a trap here), fifty Da'uhnb will teleport in using EMP Grenades and their Zela revolvers and zela bullets to disable the nanoplague attacks, and drop any shields (or Leyas defenses) respectfully.

Target Number 3- Saving grace. Fifty Da'uhnb will be sent in to rescue goodly beings moments before death if possible. But only if it will not cost the Da'uhnb's life. (OOC-For example if Garmin Fe is going to get stabbed through the chest by Marcus Dannor would they rescue him, not if he gets caught in one of Strykker's Damoclese strikes which would destroy a whole area and kill any Da'uhnb trying to rescue).

Da'uhnb Scanners will be monitering the battlefield at all time. They are going to be in communication using temporal communicators to all Da'uhnb at the battle. If Either Warmonger's Avatar or Forgotten of Warmonger uses any big WMD (nukes, Clean Bombs, Doomwyrms) then all Da'uhnb will be given the withdrawl signal.

ALL other Da'uhnb will be employed on other dimensions to prevent the Forgotten from escaping.
Anyone tries to make enrgy bridges or portals and Da'uhnb will ward them closed on the opposite site. No Escaping this fight!

The Da'uhnb Mercs were tired battered and bloody. But they still had their victory cigars.

With all the ancient evils in one place this is indeed a prime time to attack. I will be sending in 25 of my finest Red Fist Commandos to to combat Marcos Dannor (Avatar of Warmonger) and the being known as Warmonger's Forgotten forces. One of my Red Fist Commandos will be shield breaking those that have shields up and one will be opening an energy bridge to krypos while one focuses the lava flowing form that plane onto the Avatar of Warmonger and Warmonger's forgotten in the hopes to engulf them in the lava avoiding all other people involved in the fight. The rest of my army will be combing their death blast(from their armor) and their fire dart to a modified frost fire to hit the enemy forces.

I will have 1,000 Pit Mongerals and Flayers to jump in to ground my Quall warriors. Since the bridge is open I will be sending in replacements when and if I loose any of my pit mongerals and or flayers. However, since the bridge is open I can not risk having enemy forces enter krypos so I will be having 5,000 Quall warriors guarding the portal with the same amount of pit mongerals and flayers guarding the Quall to ensure no one unauthorized enters our domain.

Once the fiends are destroyed (or even if they are not) my warriors will move the lava back into the portal and return to Krypos closing behind it the energy bridge. My space station will be waiting for them to randevu. Upon their glorious return all of my family will sing glorious praises of their great deeds done today. They will sing these praises for a week and that week will be known has the Week of Glories in which it will become a holy holiday for my people. If they do not win and or most certainly dead my people will still praise their actions and it will still be a holiday but it will be called Remembrance of the Glorious Warriors.

"Make sure this letter," Celyse handed a rolled up parchment to one of her underlings. "And this ring," she slides a golden band from her finger, "reach Terror as quickly as possible."

"Yes Zaodonai," the dutiful uthvelor soldier responded.

"And hold on to this," she placed a small wooden box in his other hand.

"What is it, Zaodonai?" he asked with a perplexed expression.

"My finger," she responded flatly.

The soldier mouthed the word "oh" as Celyse continued on her way. She stepped through the energy bridge to where her allies and enemies were waiting, Draco Epsilon 7.

Celyse arrived on the battlefield late, as predicted. She was dressed in traditional uth armor with her usual arsenal of weapons. Two large, jagged swords were sheathed across her back and a number of shorter swords and springshots hung off her belt. The pale white scepter hung loosely near the front, her fingers tapping over it as she walked.

'I, Zaodonai Celyse Hajima, have arrived as representative of Lord Azrael. To those murderous creatures who stand against me, know you that once this battle is concluded you too will understand the true nature of fear. Tremble before the might of my Lord, for there will be no mercy given to the undeserving!"

Celyse taps a ring on her finger and her body shifts and grows into the form of a twisted fallosini. For those who have seen him, she appears as Azrael.

"Prepare yourselves, ancient denizens of evil, for my blades hunger for the taste of flesh!" The creature reaches for the sceptor and sends off three Solar flares before pulling the large swords off its back and diving into battle.

Celyse will be fighting as an Azrael mimic using her various weapons (the main ones being her two uth swords) and the abilities (leyas or otherwise) granted to her by the mimic spell.

The letter sent to Terror was a brief description of where she was going and why, the ring was her Fallosini doppleganger band. If she's in a bind she'll use the Fallen Commander ability to contact him and ask for his aid.

As mentioned in the beginning, she left behind a finger in the plane of awareness.

The place of the Builders in this battle is simple. Using their faith, shield reality from the destruction caused by this battle. Sacrifice themselves if they must to stop the Forgotten from destroying this plane.

They still reach out to The Forgotten as a lost child, hoping that in the end, it can understand that destruction is not enough.
