Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie Empty Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie

The Moon of Galilie lies in ruins after the Grey attack. Its surface has been glassed, but still TRILAT and I.R. Probes have found something of value floating in the debris field that now hangs above the northern hemisphere of the Moon of Galilie where many bloom ships were destroyed. In this debris field is a functioning Angels of Desolation communications beacon.
Inside it are clues to the whereabouts of Angel D, Former Captain Alice Clegg, T'ronde Vale and the rest of their terrorist squad.

Special Rules for this battle: No "I FTL in and steal the probe and FTL away" as your actions. Your ships would be torn apart by debris. You have to appear outside the debris field and send smaller forces into the debris field to recover the device. so be clear of what forces you are sending in, how many, and what their load out is (inventory of gear = loadout). Also state if they escape with the probe (be clear to say IF) what recovery method will be used to get them back out.

This mission is open to All Players.
Post your plan to this mission on either the defenders or attacker's side here on this thread only. First person to post gets a single extra repost later to launch secret attacks, ambushes etc. All other players get one post only. This thread will be locked at 11pm E.S.T. on Friday April 16th. Only actions listed on this mission will count as locked in for player actions.

You are encouraged to set up threads in your own factions to discuss this matter.

I could not have built a better mousetrap if I designed it myself.
I am going to set up camera probe Meks to record everything.
Send it 100 Brethren in Fury Power armor to hide in the Debris field and start gunning down other spacemen who float by.
Ive got a whole Polar Expanse to take care of and really don't care about what new scam the Angels of Desolation are cooking up.
The Brethen got about 75 Mach Cannons, 15 Plasma Emitter Cannons, 10 Artillery (upgraded with Ablative Foam Rockets , and I.R. Missile Propelled Grenades). I want them spread out but keep two with Ablative Foam Rockets ready to wall in anyone who makes a run for the probe. Catch them red handed!

Then have 5 squads of five starfighters in patrols around the Debris field to report on all space activity and draw attention away from the camera probes.

Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie Empty Re: Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie

The Beacon City scout ship that followed the Iron Republic fleet to the Moon of Galilie was the first to witness the appearance of the Grey fleet that destroyed the E-Strain inhabitants, the first to relay the events back to its TRILAT allies, and the first to make note of the communications beacon. The only thing preventing them from actually getting to the beacon first was of course the IR fleet they were sent to follow. Still, they relayed the events back to command and awaited orders.

"Scout vessel Red-Alpha, this is command. You are ordered to covertly make your way to the debris field and conduct full recon protocols. Assisting vessels are on the way."

Right before the communication was sent, Unity Dreadnaught IVI 717 shadow jumped and made its way toward the system. Moments later the Beacon City vessel attempted contact with Red-Alpha.

"Red-Alpha, this is 717 here for extraction, what is your status."
"717, this is Red-Alpha, we have a situation here. Extraction is not possible. Requesting code 6 support."
"Understood Red-Alpha, code 6 support has been authorized, please send your firing solutions."
"Red-Alpha, this is 717. Debris field presents a problem, please send recon data to confirm your firing solutions."
"Red-Alpha, firing solutions are confirmed, code 6 support underway."

The Dreadnaught positioned itself above the debris field and opened its bay doors. What followed were a series of cannon shots as 8 drop pods and over 500 nebulous orbs fired into the debris field impacting directly on the largest pieces of debris. Amazingly they completely missed a countless number of razor sharp edges found within the clouds of matter. Emerging from each pod were 4 recognized warriors each in propelled space suits, as well as 4 larger propellent packs. As the nebulous orbs gathered into groups of 16, the pieces warped and bent themselves into Nephillim War Giants. Each recognized gravitated to a giant and technomantically attached the propellent packs to the giants.

"Red-Alpha, this is the Away Party, I've got blood splatter on my drop pod. Are their any other friendly units in the area?"
"Away Party, this is Red-Alpha. Negative, your pod was right on target."
"This is Away Party... Greger, is that you?"

[Each of the 8 squads have a traditional recognized with companion shards for crafting any missing war giant parts. The other 24 recognized have a payload of 16 mass defenders, 8 luminous wards, 8 shard shields implants, 12 clockwork crystal arm implants, and 12 shard sword implants. They also have about 2 dozen flash-bang grenades, 3 dozen concussion grenades, and each party member has a flare. They are to extract Greger and the beacon if possible. They can use the layas generator pulled from the wreckage of Greger's craft to utilize their talents if needed. The dreadnaught will pick them up outside the field at a location known to the Away Party. The dreadnaught will use grappling lines to extract the party. Extracting our own troops takes priority over the beacon. The Dreadnaught is accompanied by 75 Sagitae fighters.]

Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie Empty Re: Week 2 Space Battle: Looking for Clues at the Moon of Galilie

Prime turned to another indicator in his lab space. The ruse was ready.

In the space by the The Moon of Galilie, five 3 mile long black metal spikes thrust through a small hole in space, moving apart and tearing the hole wider. On the other side, there was an endless expanse of dark towers and silver rivers. It looked to be a Unity Extension, come for the comm satelite. Its gravitics were off the chart, and a dull roar of static could be heard by the poor IR pilots who had to witness such an event. Beams of light struck out from the Extension, striking ships as they veered away from the gravitic pull.

*note; this is actually an elaborate mock-up. The limbs are animated by technomancers, and the Extension is only an image reinforced by gravitic generators and a skeleton. If the IR puts up a good fight, it will retreat and may even give the IR some great PR!*

In the black void of space; a small team of 15 Senechals in their Unfettered wingsuits flew out of a small portal made by a reality drill. each had a leyas based method to self-destruct, and clones waiting to be activated at the Thirteen Pillars of Triumph. Using their stealth capabilities and their incredible skill, they would get to the satellite in the confusion, download the appropriate files, upload a dummy fileset indicating the wrong moons as Angel D's and Palmodes, as a sympathizer, and then they will depart as silently as they came.

I am providing20 starfighters to Captain Axis to use as a lure for his plan.

Whether they are used is up to him. If he does not use them, they are instructed to scout the area.
