Honored Hive Queens,

It has been my distinct privilege to meet you on the field of battle, and I am honored that you would see my forces as a credible threat. One of my more over-zealous generals employed weapons of mass destruction as you projected rage, the result of which was a fiend of Warmonger. While I hoped that conflict with you would not feed Warmonger, as all Unity forces have back-ups and you are a encompassing hive-mind...it seems I was in error.

I hope you understand that I do not share my General's hatred of your race. I've actually theorized that your kind are an elaborate prison crafted to hold particularly dangerous races. You are almost perfect, in your own way. You can turn any speaking race into an unspeakably strong warrior. You hold crystallized the memories of those you take for all time.

I simply take issue that you do not use what knowledge you hold, and that you have consumed most of known space whilst holding knowledge from those who seek it. These issues I take with you will be made irrelevant shortly, as I now hold many components for the crafting of a more perfect prison for Warmonger. Further, I have collected sufficient raw material to obviate my secondary concern.

For the time being, I have collected what samples I need to suit my own ends. Further, I must deal with my primary foe, the Warmonger. The EEF will be assisting us in defeating the Fiend, and I'm sure you want to be no where near that particular battle, though you are welcome to join us in freeing those unfortunate souls which have become one with it.

In the future, we hope that future conflicts between us will be more dispassionate, and that you will refrain from psychic attacks. In return, we will prevent our forces from using excessive shadow energy. Further, if you are ever interested in expanding your current paradigm, please feel free to let me know. There is much untapped knowledge in your network which could be used for the preservation of all reality. Our interest is not genocide, our interest is in the preservation of balance. Dimensions filled with only Quall, in our minds, leads to stagnation and imbalance. We hope to restore that balance, not eradicate you.

In short, rest easy or marshal your forces to remove me from your home. I plan no aggression whilst the fiend of Warmonger is present, as I would not feed it.

Prime, well, i am glad to hear you are having so much fun in this war. Good to know that your fun and your general's zealotry haven't been causing chaos and haven't caused a greater fiend of Warmonger to appear......oh wait, not only has it done that but now it is made up of nanoplague and has gravity warping powers.

As to the fact that you are honored to be taken seriously? Prime, i have billions under my command, the Hive Queens that are beyond me have billions more and you believe an attack force made up of a million is taking you seriously? My Dear Prime these have been raids to make a point. I have the power to summon up balls of magma cool them down and fire them like missiles upon your forces, i can super heat the very air and melt the most heat resistant materials. I could reliquify the bottoms of your obsidian islands causing the weight of your fortresses to break right through the bottoms. None of that will solve anything, if Garmen Fe's entire task force is killed it can be replaced by another of your cloned armies. The only one that will benefit from the mass slaughter is Warmonger as you have seen, I have minimized the Quall N'Drone involvement and sent mainly Flayers and Pit Mongrels if you notice. We Quall can cause great devastation but random rampant destruction only helps the Ancient Evils.

So the Ancient Evil wannabee who is good friends with the Creeping Darkness wants to be the guardian of the universe to preserve balance? You believe you can be trusted with the secrets of the Universe? How did you start your space empire again? I distinctly remember hearing about conversion spikes or something being fired into planets? The creation of demonic armies? You really expect me to trust anything you have to say? You want me to trust the knowledge of the universe to you? You want your Kasanthian allies to know how to consume entire galaxies? You want the Creeping Darkness to know how he can absorb reality itself? Until you surround yourself with people who aren't actively trying to deliver the mutiverse into the hands of suffering and oblivion you do not deserve to have our knowledge. We do not use this knowledge because it is dangerous, and can only be trusted to those who will not abuse it. You have done NOTHING to show that you can be trusted with this power. Only those who can seek power and not use it can be trusted.

How about this, prove that you don't actually want to promote demonic activities, take your armies OUT of our dimension and stop feeding Warmonger. Confine your expansionist plans to your own dimension and keep your psychopathic demonic loving allies out of ours. That will solve the problem of future demons here. If not, then indeed we shall continue to fight you, slowly building up the numbers, we can send 10 million against you next time, then perhaps 50 million, then perhaps 100 million, and so on and so on. If you persist in bringing in more forces I have been told by the other Hive Queens that we can get a few more Hives in here if I would like. How about billions?

I tire of your pompous know it all attitude, you know nothing about the larger picture of the universe and until you have at least a few millenia of experience you will continue to know nothing and your pathetic flailing around only serves the demonic beings of the universe. Get smart and pull your collective heads out of your ass and try to learn something.

Post  Le-aHiveQueen Tue Mar 29, 2011 6:33 pm

You want to learn our knowledge let me tell you something you are not the first in our long history to want our extensive knowledge banks. Did it ever occur to you that maybe along our long history we did trust a race with our knowledge and they became a tyrannical regime that we had to obliterate from existence wiping all knowledge that they ever existed? And that race was a much more trustworthy race then your race. A regime that uses or excuse me used demonic forces to obtain their goals yes by all means lets trust you with our knowledge nothing bad could possible come of this.

And as Hive Queen Ar'yay has pointed out you ask for our knowledge yet you still hold forces in our dimension and Garmin Fe still walks our world. It is called the Continent of the Dead Quall for a reason do you think we would give our knowledge to people that associate with the person responsible for that name? Maybe if you cut all ties with Garmin Fe then maybe we will confer with all the Hive Queens to see if you may obtain a few of our knowledge banks. But do not dare say you want to work together and still associate yourself with Garmin Fe. Like I said we have an extensive knowledge bank and we know many people histories what makes Garmin Fe so different from Hitler? If you do not know who Hitler was he was an earther genocidal bastard so one can see the similarities in Garmin Fe.

Like Hive Queen Ar'yay has already stated you have done nothing to prove yourself worthy of our knowledge. I can't even begin to fathom what made you think we would say yes to this. Until you wipe yourself clean of your demonic influences and Garmin then we will talk.

So you must ask yourself is some of our knowledge worth you cutting all ties with the genocidal monsters that made the Continent of the dead Quall?

However, I do agree that we are only feeding Warmonger further by fighting but remember it was Garmin Fe who struck 1st even if for some absurd reason thinks it was us. He forget the origins of the name of the Content of the Dead Quall? The name itself is a dead give away. It was built upon the death of millions of my people. How would you react if a person came to your home world attacked killing more than half of your people then giving it a name like the Continent of Dead Unities? I imagine you would react the same way I did. Now also imagine this since I am a hive mind imagine hearing the majority of your children scream their last scream, their death scream in your mind and tell me you would not want the man responsible at the end of your 7th horn? So that he will hear for an eternity what i hear? The only way the fighting will stop if the man and his people responsible for the deaths of our people is out of Krypos for ever! The longer he stays the longer I will fight him till the very end.

So Prime you will plan no aggressive action until the Fiend was dealt with, so you don't count that fungus your people spread in this dimension to be an act of aggression? Millions of Pit Mongrels have died, many more are ill, is this what you call "dispassionate" huh? My Pit Mongrels were dying due to your people spreading the Fungus while the threat was to everyone, good to know that your lies are just as transparent as usual. Your word is useless as I thought.

SO MUCH DAMN WASTE!

The walls of Prime's study shook as he slammed his hand into the table in front of him. He could hear that voice in the back of his head, telling him to return to his waiting body, to take up the sword once again. He could snap their minds and suck out the marrow with that power, he could...

Prime took a deep breath, letting go of his fury. He began the return transmission.

Honored Hive Queen Ar'yay,

Regarding your earlier replies, I regret not being able to respond earlier. In short, I would not ask you to give me your memories. In light of our conflict, that would only demean the honored dead which have fallen.

One could argue that my conflict with you is the definition of dispassionate, I hold you no malice. Further, while I could have used the confusion of the battle to commit acts of violence against your populace, I was much more concerned with containing The Forgotten. Actually, I am quite regretful that your people took it upon yourselves to approach the fungus without taking the proper precautions. It is a terraforming element developed by one of my generals, and from what I've gathered it is highly adaptable.

To be honest, I don't know much about the workings of what you have unleashed upon your own people. Further, I am in the process of perfecting a method by which we may be able to stave off future attempts by the Warmonger to destroy all of creation. I have referred you to the inventor of the Fungus currently affecting your people. I am not sure if he can give you a cure, but he can at least advise you regarding containment.

Finally, you will be pleased to note that your people which were tormented by the Forgotten have been freed by the efforts of the Unity. We continue to preserve the memories of those who have fallen, and reclaim those we can. I don't know if this provides you any solace, but I sincerely hope it does.

Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict Empty Re: Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict

Post  MichaelHerbertGilmour Mon Apr 04, 2011 8:18 am

The man who was patched through into the conversation was a middle-aged human with brown hair and sharp features. He seemed to be standing just before the camera, or whatever device was recording his image, enclosed in a featureless grey room. The lighting was entirely diffuse, which made it seem as if there was no actual source of light in the room. He currently wore a labcoat, though beneath that there was a crisp shirt and tie. It was impossible to see anything below his upper-torso from this angle. The labcoat was emblazoned with the name 'Michael H. Gilmour,' and he bore the title 'Scientist.'

"Greetings, my name is Michael Herbert Gilmour. I was patched through by Prime to address your concerns regarding the newest terraforming initiative in the Habitat project. I am the head of the project, and it seems as if you are having some difficulties with the vanguard colonies. I will admit myself that I'm rather impressed with the speed at which they are adapting to the unique ecological features of Kyrpos, so I can certainly understand your shock.

In order to render the terrain more amenable to other forms of life, I have been tasked with the job of generating new species to seed Kyrpos. These will be capable of surviving the harsh conditions found there, and the methods that my fungi use to accomplish that can hopefully be adapted for other situations. Unfortunately, it seems as if one of the species has found your 'pit mongrels' a significantly more nurturing place. This isn't particularly surprising, especially in light of the fact that I'm told they have a relatively low internal body temperature, as well as containing the extraordinarily high concentration of nutrients that are found in any given living creature. In colonizing your pets, the fungus found an easy way to adapt to otherwise difficult climates, and unfortunately, this makes it useless for the project.

The task of curing your livestock is made more difficult by the fact that the fungi seem to have developed at least a basic ability to resist the high temperatures of Kyrpos. Because of this, simply culling the population of the affected hive will not likely be successful. Furthermore, the fact that it managed to already mutate into something capable of infecting them means that fungicides may not be effective either- and that does not account for the fact that the high temperatures will likely oxidize or otherwise decompose any chemical agents used to clean affected areas.

At this point in time, the only suggestion I have is one of isolation. A mass cull is obviously required, but keeping any other 'pit mongrels' away for the time being would also be good. I expect its infectiousness to slowly decrease over time as exposure to viable targets also decreases. I will state that exposing such a high concentration of nutrients to a highly mutable fungus that can obviously resist high temperatures was not particularly wise. Furthermore, it seems as if you attempted to burn it away. A sizable portion of this plane seems to be molten rock, and my fungus has managed to colonize it. I think you simply caused a premature bloom, resulting in mass sporulation. The high spore concentrations caused the initial infection, and it mutated quickly to better adapt to its new conditions. As long as you avoid such incidents in the future, I do not expect you to have any difficulties.

I can assure you this; you will know if I weaponize my creations. Luckily for everyone involved, there are absolutely no plans to do that in the foreseeable future. Biological warfare is a tricky business, and it's not one I plan on playing around with in an alien climate.

If you have further concerns, please feel free to contact me back."

With that, the feed terminates with the stylized picture that can be seen on this account's avatar. It shows a generic fungus with several locations signified. There is no accompanying legend.

Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict Empty Re: Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict

Post  Ar'yayhivequeen Mon Apr 04, 2011 2:02 pm

Dr. Gilmour

I like to keep things simple, so i will keep this response short.
I will indeed separate the infected Pit Mongrels, i plan on sending them into Garmen Fe's personnel in a hope that it is still capable of spread to not just the Pit Mongrels but into other creatures.
I am also not stupid, putting the fungus here was obviously done in an offensive manner, you have an unlimited supply of worlds in your own dimension which you could have seeded these fungus creatures which have similar conditions to my home dimension.
So here is the plan, i plan on sending infiltration ships to some of your fungus worlds, they won't try to burn your creations, they will ignore them completely. i simply plan on dropping a drill ship onto the surface where it will burrow down until it gets to the molten core of the planet, then expand the molten core causing the planet to explode. I don't see your fungus eating through the Obsidian so hey it should work just fine. It will be a nice experiment to see if your fungus can survive on an exploded planet! Or you can remove your fungus from my dimension
I don't like jokes or people acting like clowns, get your fungus and go.

Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict Empty Re: Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict

Post  MichaelHerbertGilmour Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:56 am

It takes a couple hours for him to get back after that message was sent. This feed is nearly identical to the first, at least in terms of imagery.

"How long is the incubation period? If it is more than 24 hours, I would highly suggest culling the entire population, or nearly so. If you don't, the infection will simply crop right back up. I'm not entirely familiar with the symptoms, so you'll have to use your best judgment. I'm not sure if it will be infectious outside of your species, but it will certainly be an interesting test. I'd ask you to keep me updated, but I'm sure Garmen Fe will notify me in either event.

You will have to define 'offensive.' It was not meant to be used as a weapon to kill; we have more than enough devices for that already. It was meant to gain a foothold in Kyrpos to make watching you a simpler affair. As it stands, your incursions into our plane have grown out of control, and that really has to be stopped. Perhaps if you gave our plane of existence the same respect you expect us to give yours, these kinds of difficulties wouldn't occur.

There are several difficulties with your plan as suggested. I will assume that you are capable of that level of infiltration, because otherwise the entire prospect is absurd. I will also assume that the 'drill ship' successfully manages to burrow down to that depth unmolested- it should be noted that I find that prospect unlikely.

To begin, you can't make a planet explode that way, certainly not by any conventional definition of 'explode.' You may cause the surface to crack, assuming that you are able to import an unfathomable amount of material, but exploding is completely out of the question. The simple gravitational pull of the 'exploded' pieces would cause them to collapse right back to where they were seated. Accelerating the whole of the planet to escape velocity would require more power than you are capable of leveraging, if your performance in combat is even vaguely proportional to your capacities.

Second, my fungus is already living on obsidian, so I'm not entirely sure how that would influence much of anything. Furthermore, short of mass alchemy, you certainly couldn't transform the entire planet to a silicon oxide. That doesn't make much sense.

Third, I could easily survive on a planet as described, and that has been proven by the tests on Kyrpos. I currently have the capacity to use just about any source of carbon and oxygen. Furthermore, the native inhabitants of your plane will likely give me even further flexibility.

I will close with a few points. I can not remove my fungus. The terraforming process is beyond my control right now due to logistical considerations. I plan on developing more complex infrastructure in the future, but sadly my attention is diverted toward more pressing matters. The fact that you seem so convinced your efforts will annihilate one of my planets makes me wonder why you can't easily deal with it yourself on your home terrain.

I also do not appreciate threats. It should be noted that any aggressive actions taken by you will be responded to in kind. While I mentioned previously that I had no plans to engage in biological warfare, I will say that aggressive actions on your part will change that paradigm quite quickly. Indeed, due to the tone of your message, I am sad to report that I am putting together some research plans for exactly that eventuality. I would prefer not to pursue them simply because it wastes time that could be spent more productively.

I will not throw the first stone, but you had best be certain that I will throw the last."

As before, the feed terminates with the same image.

Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict Empty Re: Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict

Post  Ar'yayhivequeen Tue Apr 05, 2011 1:38 am

You have already thrown the first stone, I have had reports from the Boarder Wars, i have heard about moving fungus consuming enemy forces, seeding Kyrpos with this fungus was an offensive action, you knew that it would kill those who got in its way. So do not insult my intelligence by saying that seeding this area with a fungus that kills other life isn't an offensive measure.

When i said i could destroy the planet i meant i could cause the core of the world to expand and cause volcanic activity which would tear the planet apart with eruptions and earthquakes. If it collapsed upon itself that would be just as good. I have already infiltrated several of the Unity's worlds, getting close enough to one of yours for an orbital drop won't be too hard. However i would prefer not to. My goal here is to end these tiresome wars as you are all empowering Warmonger with every battle. The Ancient Evils must be stopped but you people are constantly showing that you wish to engulf the universe in darkness. Someone has to stop you all before Warmonger destroys everything.

I once again say to you, stop your fungus, you created it and thus you should be able to develop something to stop it. I am tired of these annoyances.

As for my interactions in your dimension, if you had properly researched things before you spoke you would know that we were invited into your dimension by the Iron Republic, you come from a Penal colony, a colony from which you were suppose to remain. There are also treaties which allow me onto your Penal colony. All my actions are perfectly legal, if you dislike it speak to the Iron Republic as it is their laws which allow this.
You are an invading army with no permission here. You spread weapons of mass destruction and now your fungal bio weapons. Don't you dare try to take the moral highground here. You are the terrorists.

You will complain about me needing people to propagate my species, etc etc neither one of us likes the other.

We will agree to disagree, you will continue to serve your demon masters i will continue to fight you.

Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict Empty Re: Regarding the Trilat Quall conflict

Post  MichaelHerbertGilmour Tue Apr 05, 2011 4:34 am

Michael appears as he always does.

"Of course it can be used as a weapon- anything can. It is only a question of intent. I currently do not intend for it to inflict casualties on anyone. As such, it is not currently a weapon. It can be weaponized, but that was never denied. Indeed, I specifically mentioned that it could.

That makes a bit more sense, but in order for it to 'collapse' there has to be some void to collapse to. Nevertheless, I'm sure you could cause some form of volcanic activity. As stated previously, this does not concern me. I am also not too terribly concerned about my activities empowering Warmonger. My intent is clear.

No, I can't stop the spread. Not at the moment. I told this to my allies in the TRILAT, and I am telling it to you. It is not my fault that no-one listens.

Honestly, I could not care less if what you did was 'legal.' What is legal and not legal changes over both time and space. That you were supposedly invited here does make the issue concerning your plane slightly more complex, and I will admit a faint sense of unease. I am curious as to why in the world they would do such a thing; it does not strike me as particularly wise. That being said, the IR as an entity does not strike me as particularly wise.

I have a feeling I will be discussing things a bit more with you, my allies, and the IR. In the meantime, I will see what can be done about the current operations in Kyrpos. I would not expect any dramatic reversals, but I will also not be progressing to more advanced stages. Some questions need to be answered at this point.

As an aside; it is my understanding that your species shares some sort of 'hive mind.' Does that mean that your opinion reflects that of the entire quall species, your hive, or none of the above? It certainly seems as if multiple personalities have been interacted with.

This has been pleasant. While your last communication suggests an end to the conversation, I hope that we continue."

End transmission.

What are you talking about Deer? Dr Gilmour has said again and again that the fungus isn't a bio weapon. I am moving my forces away so now he can use that island for his fungus experiments. Now i don't want him to put it on EVERY island. But the one he is currently using is fine.

Remember i may be an exile but these are still MY islands. If i am fine with him spreading the fungus on my islands so be it. I will never suggest he spread his fungus to Your territories. That would be treason.

I thank you for your intentions Sector General Palomedes however your government has decided that I am totally cut off from Iron Republic support. So you might get in trouble for making any such actions thus I will not ask you for such. Besides, The Hive Queens are preparing to remove me and put someone else in charge of my Hive, I am sure you will be able to assist her.

I would not be the man I am if I left an ally in danger, Ma'am.

I will prepare an encrypted communications unit so we might converse beyond the ears of the Board of Directors. It will be delivered to you by a neutral party in a banking guild crate.

Enter the code 455306

And it will broadcast to me and only to me.

If there are any repercussions I will face them proudly.
