Week 4 - Via E.O.D. Protocol 121 Engaged

All those onboard the Via watched in concern as all boarding ports, or ways off the ship were sealed as Zero metal was manufactured across the entire Via Station. Weapons were converted into Zero Metal, and fields were set up preventing teleportation, shadow walking or other methods off or onto the station.

“E.O.D. Protocol 121 Engaged, Sealing hull from all threats.”

Lt. Ryuk, President Ragman, and the Unity Prime and his entourage all found themselves trapped in an unknown star system inside a sealed vessel while a battle was about to break out around them.

The Via stated, "While within these walls, you are protected from heat, cold, toxins and all forms of radiation. You are safe here to wait out the coming days."

They are in deep space, at an unknown location. They were surrounded by an entire Iron Republic Armada, thanks to that damn red star satellite.

TRILAT Mission is to rescue the Prime of Unity from the Via E.O.D. Station. Its walls are coated in Zero Metal (see Broadcasting Station 0 in Space Campaign part 2's finale) with unique rules.

The Iron Republic Fleet consists of 3 I.R. Starcruisers and 4 I.R. Interdictors under the command of Sector General Deer, and there are 1000 Starfighters under the command of Sector General Palomedes. They are limited to these fleets alone.

Unity Prime, Lt. Ryuk and President Ragman may not call upon any military force, beyond Prime's bodyguards: 3 Seneschals and 4 Vrangian Guards. However a thread will be opened in the EEF Faction for them to discuss tactics for escape from this potential prison.

Beacon City is limited to 20 covert starfighters and any Leyas abilities their pilots or the Judge leading them may know.

EEF is limited to Two Kalino class missile frigates (standard mixed anti ship/anti fighter load out) and two specter upgraded gunships (all cloaked).

After Via has admonished Ryuk, he finally shows a moment of weakness due to the stress of this long conflict.

Ryuk goes on about how he has no past, that his first memories are of being a mercenary, and well he was a mercenary
he always was on the recieveing end of "jokes" where he ends up dead.

He continues on about how he joined this major space campaign to make friends and explore new places, and all
that he seem to be able to do when meeting new people is alienate them. He specifically mentions how he made
the hard decision to kill the poor IR soldiers quickly, after they were left by there commanding officers to die a
slow and painful death due to failing life support systems.

Ryuk laments about how much everything he does seems to have little impact on making friends, and how even
the people he works with on regular basis, will ignore him. He mentions some kindness of Admiral Yrs, but how she
seems more like a work associate than a real friend.

After lamenting for 15 minuets, Ryuk apologizes to Via, and says. "I'm sorry , I have just had a real bad week, I
shouldn't have broken down like that. I am not sure where we are and what to do about the people outside,
is there anything you can do to help with that. I am pretty good with the leyas, but this is a little big for me
to handle"

An energy bridge opens up and 5 Quall Destroyers emerge launching 200 Neo Flayer Star Fighters and enter escort formation around the Iron Republic fleet. They will fire upon any one who chooses to engage the Iron Republic feet.
The fleet will not make any attempt to seize the station and will act in a purely defensive measure. After the engagement they shall withdraw to Kyrpos.

If Treaty of 2220 is signed my forces will stand down and jump away.

If NO peace is reached Deer is gonna just have to unload with all weapons taking out this Via, the ragman, and prime unity. At least he'll get a nice bonus for finally bringing the warcriminal Ryuk to justice. Domebuster and helios cannon style.

But peace is more important. so he will restrain. plus an all out battle against the E-strain would be fun

Judge Grandis will continue to work toward a peaceful conclusion. If one is made he will utilize the presence of any air leyas user to hold in the oxygen before the hull of the Via has been breached. This should, at the moment, only require that 2 of the starfighters reveal themselves. The other fighters will keep there presence a secret.

Should the situation escalate into a conflict, the remaining fighters will form up and wait to strike at any ships that target Judge Grandis's fighter. They will leave the battle theater immediately.

If Peace is successful, Sector General Palomedes will demand all IR forces and allied forces power down weapons and begin a rescue operation. Prime and Ryuk will be allowed to return to Unity Space, Ragman returned to Uloh. VIA Ecostation will be turned into a diplomatic meeting place.

Any member of Unity or IR who wishes to study the Ecostation will be supported in doing so.
The Sephir knowledge shall be shared by all lawful nations under the new treaty.

But if peace cannot be achieved, Palomedes will become sad and bitter. He will have to order his Starfighters to unleash their entire compliment of Liquid Nitrogen and EMP missiles to disable all enemy ships.

Then they all will be left to Deers convoluted ideas of mercy.

The cloaked EEF ships in system will remain in cloak as they are woefully out gunned. Rather than open engagement they will stay near the station and attempt to effect a pick up should any one manage to escape from the system. If that does not happen they will stay and observe the IR fleet movements. If they have reason to believe that Ragman has been taken captive they will trail the fleet as closely as if safe in order to be sure of where he gets taken.

Ragman goes over his plans in his head.

1 - wait to see if he can gain the trust of the via. if not, he will thank her and ask if can have the same info that she gave to Ryuk and Prime previously.

2 - If the EOD protocol can not be suspended, he will ask the station where the best place to open a breach in the hull. at which point, he will turn to Prime and say " i guess it is time to part ways. I will be cutting a hole in the hull so that i can exit. As you don't seem to have a spacesuit i would ask that you stay back. I think i will be taking a walk outside now." to Ryuk " I wish you well and hope that you can overcome your emotional problems before they get you into too much trouble".

3 - Ragman will proceed to seal the section of the station that he and Via have chosen and proceed to use his Claws of the Warmonger to cut thru the hull and then step out into space. he will either be picked up by allies or enemies. Allies he will thank and ask for a ride home. Enemies he will ask for a ride home and offer to tell them everything he has learned from the Via

Prime smiled, wondering what the results of the station scanning his mind would be. Either way, the station was a remarkably comfortable base of operations.

"Via, I ask for your co-operation. We seek the same thing, preventing the Quiet from silencing the speaking races of this time."

If a hole in the station can be opened, Prime will at once send the Zero metal through that hole, throwing it through and indicating that it be taken by one of his eye-spies. That eye spy will whisk it away as fast as possible.

If a hole is not opened, Prime will work with the station to generate a loop-hole in the protocol. Using his technical expertise, and his companions where he must, he can create a smaller replica of the Via station around the Zero metal sample. With luck, this should indicate to the station that the metal is now contained, and the Via station can get to the noble work of hunting down the Quiet with Prime as a valued ally.

If there is another way to allow the station to go after the Quiet, even if Prime must remain in the station for the time being, Prime will investigate that option and induce the station to continue in its mission.

As you have heard our conversation, I will keep this short. I am currently building a repair station. I know Unity Prime has been researching the metal that coats your skin. While it is not built yet, my workers with Unity's technology should be able to build it in a relatively short amount of time. With this, we should be able research and eventually aid you to remove the metal. This is also by my Casino, which I keep as a truly neutral place. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come. In fact, In a game I ran earlier, we had people from all over the place. We are strict on security, mainly as a precaution for safety. You will be welcome there, as it is a place to relax from this time of warfare.

If you come, you will be free to leave at any time, just give us time to remove our equipment and men. Also, I will give you my word that I nor anyone there under my command will try and hack into you. In fact, when I came, I though you were just a normal ship, not a living one. I apologize for any offense I may have given.

One of the things to realize, is that the location of my Casino moves around Trilat space and only in TRILAT space. I do not provide security to my casino, just in the immediate surrounding area and on the ship.

If you come, while you are there, I will take your test to try and earn your trust. If you do not wish this to happen, because of my foolish attempts earlier, then so be it. You are still welcome.
