A business proposition to the Iron Republic

Greetings, I am Damon Roth Regional sales director of Larken's Military Emporium, we wish to discuss with you a new product line that we are planning to come out with.

I wish to create low cost freighters that are inspired by high profile factional ships. Take the largest, baddest, and most famous vessels of each major group in space and make freighters that while not looking exactly like them (after all we don't want people to be shot down in confusion) but to be inspired by them in the details.

For the ones modeled after your ships, we would use a large freighter as a base for the ships, then we would take inspiration from a famous type of ship from the Iron Republic and modify the ship. This will inspire more of your citizens to purchase starships and travel, they will attempt to make their fortune, discover new resources, trade etc. Your economy will get a boost as more business is created in your territory more taxes are paid etc. Also seeing these ships inspired by the ships that are dedicated to their defense will inspire more local pride among the worlds under your control. How many people gaze at your planet based shipyards at your fleets and say to themselves "I wish i could fly around in one of those" Now you will help give them the opportunity to live their dream (to an extent) and declare to the universe that "I am a proud member of the Iron Republic, see me and know that we are here to stay!"

The people of the Iron Republic have faced many threats over the years, E Strain Manslayers, rebellion, terrorists, etc. They have weathered so much and stood strong. It is time for them to publicly declare that they are patriots and they want to find their fortune and show off their pride as citizens of the largest and most powerful nation in the universe.

If you have any questions about this plan please let us know, we believe that this project will be quite big and will be a big boon to everyone.

The offices of regional concepts has been searching for just such an I.P. investment opportunity.
We would happily authorize the sale of visible imagery and sightlines, external features of, but not internal plans, of both the Iron Republic Mothership and the FoF Mothership.

These two models will allow our law enforcement units to quickly distinguish freighters who are true patriots and those with "rebel" leanings from the usual rabble.

We ask for a reasonable 10% net profits and a single example of each once produced.
The rest of the profits we hope you will reinvest in your fine and deserving business.

We are delighted to hear your response, and right before starting this message we have ordered prototypes of the Iron Republic Mothership version of this product. We are planning on using multiple features of the Mothership upon the base freighter, we are currently planning on using a Vespidae as the base unit and add make the modifications to it. This is for a few reasons, first of all Vespidae are generally welcome in most starports and systems, a trusted model, also it is affordable so that this product doesn't simply become one made for the rich.

Normally the Vespidae is unarmed however we have decided that we are going to install a single weapon on all models of this product line, a single weapon that is commonly used by the organization that it is inspired from. Now, we are thinking of using a single Raptor Plasma cannon if possible, now it is just a thought as we haven't tested to see if the weapon is compatible in the Vespidae design but we believe that the inclusion of this weapon will work two fold. First of all to further tie the ship to the inspiration, second to give it a degree of defensibility. After all it is a dangerous galaxy out there and one needs to defend oneself. A single cannon will work here, after all we do not want these ships to be used offensively.

We hope to get a working prototype to you for inspection in a week or so. To sum up it will be a Vespidae with it's outer hull modified to take features from the Iron Republic Mothership to inspire pride among IR citizens, it shall be armed with a single forward mounted Raptor Plasma Cannon for defense.

We do hope you like what you see, as always any comments or advice about the design would be welcome, after all, who would know how to inspire your people better then you?

Mr. Roth,

My apologies but unauthorized Civlian vessels cannot simply be armed with Plasma Weapons or Mach Cannons while traveling in I.R. Space.

Civilians armed with Raptor Plasma Cannons, perish the thought. How could you trust them not to do something criminal with such powerful weaponry?
Why not arm them with an old fashioned railgun, or a light energy weapon like a laser or a mining beam?
I really don't know the first thing about tactics or space combat. or about weapons. But I do know they scan us for Mach Weapons and Plasma Weapons every morning on the tube to work.

Shucks, the plasma cannon would tie it up nicely with the Mothership, however we wouldn't want these ships to not be allowed in IR space, after all preventing Iron Republic citizens from purchasing them would defeat the entire purpose.

I suppose we could install a laser on the ship instead, it won't be as fitting but the law is the law.

The Prototype is almost complete, expect another message in a couple of days letting you know where you may inspect it. We know you will be pleased with it, however we always welcome constructive criticism and any suggestions you might have.

We have a prototype ready and have sent it to you for your inspection with all the appropriate documents. As we agreed the prototype is inspired by the Iron Republic Mothership class starship, attached to the ship is a shuttle which is inspired by your Chaos Starfighter.

We look forward to your input and the day when we can start selling these ships to your people and spreading Iron Republic patriotism across the galaxy.
