Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate Empty Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate

Post  Admin Sat Apr 23, 2011 5:21 pm

The Prison of Mandate had once been one of the worst prisons of the Iron Republic. The entire system Justice's Mandate was known only for the prison that orbited the planet Justice's Mandate 3. There was a certain cosmic irony when the E-strain overran the entire system in a few weeks over a year and a half ago. The Angels of Desolation personally took over the prison, and it was from this horrible place of punishment that Stockholder Kal Marx was rescued by independent mercs hired by the I.R. to find him only three months ago.
All the Brethren were executed and fed to the E-strain, because after all the E-strain have to eat as well. The Unity synthesized food shipments fed many of the E-strain hiveworlds, but new Colonies of E-strain required food to begin creating new shell to force the old shell from its body to create the hive walls.

The entire system of Justice's Mandate was infested with billions of E-strains and hundreds of Bloom ships. The Moon of Mandate, surrounding the Prison Facility itself, had fields of large sacks where bloom ships were being created from hulks towed from nearby systems. While a good 350 Bloom Ships patrolled the system, there were an additional 1,000 being grown on the moon of mandate.
The Grey have not yet come to this site, and may arrive at any time.

The Goal of the TRILAT is to defend the Moon of Mandate. The rest of the system can be destroyed for all the TRILAT cares, but there are 8 planets in the system of Justice's Mandate. All are infested with E-strain Manslayers and E-strain Maulers, who still have alliegance to the Angels of Desolation despite their unique Hiveminds. The first two planets have toxic atmospheres, the third is a terraformed and forested planet and has the Moon of Mandate orbiting it, the fourth is a dry desert planet, the fifth and sixth and seventh are gas giants with infested moons, and the eighth is a giant ice-shrouded world.

The Goal of the I.R. is to destroy the fleet being grown at the Moon of Mandate, while still recovering the prison of Mandate. Plans involving destroying the moon and prison will not be accepted.

This mission is open to All Players.
Post your plan to this mission on either the defenders or attacker's side here on this thread only. First person to post gets a single extra repost later to launch secret attacks, ambushes etc. All other players get one post only. This thread will be locked at 11pm E.S.T. on Friday April 29th. Only actions listed on this mission will count as locked in for player actions.

Give Specific numbers of ships and what types you will be sending in. Also make sure to describe what weapons they will be using against what targets.

You are encouraged to set up threads in your own factions to discuss this matter.

Director Kal Marx still is haunted by nightmares of his imprisonment at the Prison of Mandate. Its so terrible its like he never left some times.
So Director Kal Marx shall send in four cloaked Trident Missile Ships armed with standard missiles (not clean bombs). They will be carrying Brethren Tactical squads led by Quall N'fel. Their main goal will be recovering any prisoners that have been designated priority targets by Director Kal Marx.
They will be armed with mach cannons, plasma emitters, and the Quall N'fel will carry chill pistols. They will have no mercy on any Kasanthian soldiers they run into. They will also have no mercy on Unity soldiers. But they will make sure to chill and kill any E-strain that get in their way. Though between cloaking and electronic measures, they should slip by unmolested. They will avoid fighting with any and all forces.

Task Force SGP 3 will deploy one of the emergency Zero point Generators to use a stable Wormhole to arrive just outside of the planet. Transit to the moon, and all ten Heavy Frigates of Task Force SGP 3 will bombard the moon with Domebuster rounds. Their Gunpod compliments will rake the building zones with acid bombs. Their compliment is to make one pass, and one pass only. No losses on the friendly's side will be acceptable.
Maximum spread on the bombs, theyre only there to prevent anything from regenerating after the Dome Buster Barrages. The Prison shall be spared, though frankly I have no idea why a target like this doesn't warrant a Clean bomb.

Layne Yr smiled as she chewed the head off a spitting Ving. She had started dipping the tiny monkey-aliens into chocolate and eating their crunchy heads. Of course their glue glands had to be removed by Kasanthian Necromancers, but it was worth the juicy treat.
"Send in 10 ONS light capital ships, they will use their chill glands to disable any non-TRILAT ships that attack the moon of mandate as far from the moon as they are spotted. Then two wings of 10 of the asteroid pelters will move in and launch disabled ships into other still active ships.
100 Yrs Starfighters will be in a counter-Starfighter role."

20 Nodachi’s and 10 Kamikaze’s will be sent to aid Admiral Yr. The Kamikaze’s will attack Non-Trilat ships by torpedoing into them. Techno broken teams of 5 will emerge from the ship and attempt to take over the enemy one. If the teams are successful, they will use the conquered ship on other non-Trilat ships. If they are not successful, then the kamikazes will burrow out of the ship but not before dropping bombs artificed with chill to disable the ship.
The Nodachi’s will aid the Yr Starfighters in the counter-starfighter role.

Sector General Deer knew he couldn't win a standoff with so many bloom ships.
Instead he would rely on the disposable brethren pilots.
2 Horn Class starships will approach the moon as stealthy as possible. Deploy one set of Starfighters compliment (chaos Starfighters) to use their own hulls and the Em Forcefields to intercept enemy Starfighters and any kamikaze pilots (especially E-strain boarding pods).
Starfighters compliment 2 is going to Kamikaze on the planet surface. Each of compliment 2 will be armed with 1plasma missile and 1 Acid missile. Acid missile will be fired at Target of opportunity.2nd pilot attack will be to crash into the growing Bloom Ship with primed remaining missiles.

Deer won't bat an eye if all the Starfighters sacrifices themselves as long as targets are taken out.
Horn cannons will engage any threatening ships from a flanking or pincer formation.

Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate Empty Re: Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate

The Prison was worth more than it seemed, and Prime could not afford to have his allies stopped in development. He would, after all, be remiss in seeing such stalwart allies fall.

The moon has three layers of defenses sent in from the Unity.

Layer 1: Opposing ships sent to enter the system will be harassed by Void Lords, which will dart in and out of combat using their teleportation. Their fiendish talons will pierce hills and seek to disable engines and fighter bays.

Layer 2: Two dreadnaughts and a compliment of 350 Saggitae will arrive and set up a shadow satelite network along the system. This will make any space battle nightmareish for foes, as Trilat ships slip from area to area with ease. Their energy matrices will be charged and ready to intercept projectiles with point defense fire. Further, they will be launching drop pods to the moon surface. The Saggitae will use this network to great effect, joining their firing patterns to slice opposing capital ships to ribbons.

Layer 3: Two Sanguine Lords in cloud form will patrol space above the moon, ready to consume any ship or projectile as they are the "goalies" of this operation.

It would take a heroic effort to get past these defenses...but some may manage...

Additionally, huge shadow drills will be installed on the other planets in the system. The local E-strain can use these to initiate boarding actions on incoming hostile ships, and will be aided by Unity technicians in this regard. All defending bloom ships and allied vessels will be given access to the shadow network.

Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate Empty Re: Week 3 Space Battle - The Prison of Mandate

Post  Ar'yayhivequeen Sat Apr 30, 2011 2:45 am

Hive Queen Ar'Yay knew that this would piss off people but she didn't really care at this point. Her anger with the Iron Republic was secondary for her disgust over the E Strain. A twisted perversion of the beloved larva she used to spawn her young. They needed to be destroyed before they could consume more of the galaxy in the name of their Ancient Evil master. She gave the order and energy Bridges open up in orbit around the Moon of Mandate and 20 Quall Light Frigates jumped through with orders to engage enemy light starships providing relief to the Iron Republic starships attacking the Moon and it’s fleets.

300 Neo Flayer Starfighters shall provide close support protecting the Quall Frigates and the Iron Republic vessels from enemy fighters. First firing a shot or two from their fireball cannons and then using their nano-whips to entangle enemy fighters and slow them down long enough for either allied fighters to destroy them or until they can focus their fireball cannon on them. They shall continue to move against enemy fighters until the withdrawal.

600 Quall Interceptors shall follow and move toward enemy capital ships, each squad of 20 shall pick an enemy capital ship and use their grapple line to secure themselves to the enemy hull. Then they shall focus their fireball cannons and melt metal cannons upon the enemy ship until it is destroyed. After the enemy capital ship is destroyed they shall move on to the next one. Once escorting capital ships are destroyed they shall move onto the bloom ships. If any survive by the time the fleet withdraws they shall withdraw as well.

While the enemy is distracted with this force the Iron Republic Mothership "The Holy Flame" shall appear at the rear of my forces. "The Holy Flame” shall first launch its Iron Republic fighter complement to screen its actions. The Iron Republic fighters will fire EMP missiles at any technomatic vessels or units in order to provide cover for the “The Holy Flame’s” mission. "The Holy Flame" shall then fire its weapons as a screen while launching multiple drop pods containing Quall N’Drone Warriors down upon the moon aiming at the prison however a few drop pods shall be fired toward the growing ships. As soon as the drop pods are away "The Holy Flame" shall collect its fighters and then open up an exit energy bridge and withdraw. All other ships shall provide escort to "The Holy Flame" and once it is away all units shall open up energy bridges back to Kyrpos and withdraw then close the energy bridges behind them.
