Week 1 Planetary Conquest: P2115 Nilos

The planet P2115 Nilos was a dead world when Earthers first found it. It was scarred by asteroid impacts and rich in meteoric iron. The first settlers were Miners of the Iron Republic parent company Republic Iron LLC during the Golden Age of Earth.
A planet wide terraforming program began and the planet was changed into a lush tropical jungle with long night cycles where a lab-designed luminescent fungus was the only source of light for the plant life's photosynthesis to occur. Meanwhile as the jungle began to spread, the deep mines removing the meteoric iron were constructed by teams of Earther miners. Eventually these teams were replaced by Delta brethren, who were able to mine much more "cost-effectively" than paid workers. Rapid-grown clones, who were disease resistant, subordinate and docile were able to core much of the surface of the planet, churning up new soil for the spreading jungle. Even thousands of years later the lumminescent rain-forests of P2115 Nilos were lauded for their beauty, but most didn't enjoy the long nights of Nilos and its population dwindled down to only those visiting the planet. A small crew of Earthers control the planet and have rebelled against the Iron Republic in the only way they could, they raised enough money to buy the title and deed to their planet.
Since all the iron had been mined out the I.R. happily sold the planet to what they viewed as stupid colonists. The Deltas were all withdrawn and all the mining gear withdrawn. Production stopped in its tracks. The colonists are now starving, and weeks away from their end.
A strong hand has to move in and save these people from themselves.

This mission is open to all players except Faction Leaders and Iron Republic Players.

We here at Blackheart Securities applaud your efforts to buy your freedom. We would like to make your planet a regional hub for our business. We will dispatch several freighters with fighter escort carrying medical staff and food stuffs, and a detachment of our contractors.

Assuming you accept our offer we will set up a corporate enclave on the planet and begin working to augment your security forces. We will also begin modernizing your mining operations with some of our updated mining techniques.

The jungles low light and ruggedness is a benefit for our security personnel to use as a training environment for various skills. We will also begin a program so to train and hire planetary security forces. Once they have completed their tour with your governments security forces they will be eligible to be hired and become a part of Blackheart Security Solutions, should they so desire it.

Part of this training will be leading big game safaris through the jungle. I will outsource creating a hospitality industry to support the big game hunters to Cassanova Station, seeing as your planet is truly unique this will likely be a profitable venture for both you and Cassanova Station.

Please let me know if this proposal meets your requirements. As long as they will allow my corporation to do business on your planet my proposal can be combined with any other factions.

With a Zeus freighter, containing EM shields and a EMP burst weapon, Maehl Holdings takes a couple of thousand food rations, medical supplies (both acquired in the same "drive" that was utilized for Druzi Prime), and lightly armed guards (standard MH, nothing extraordinary but enough to protect themselves if required).

The ship will hail all ships in the region as a Free Systems ship, playing a message over and over again that it is on a humanitarian mission to assist the residents of the planet. It will advise that it has no intention of conquering the planet. Any requests to cease and desist will be honored. When needed, it will advise that all actions taken are in concurrence with Treaty 2218 and it is entitled to non-military action. If needed, will also mention non-aggression pacts with Unity and Kasanth.

If allowed the opportunity, and nobody comes-a-conquering with guns/cannons/missiles blazing, the ship will make its way to the surface, waving the proverbial white flag. It will respond to all hails, stating that it is on a humanitarian mission, wanting only to provide free food and medical supplies to the inhabitants. If offered the opportunity, my staff will offer to evacuate any wanting to get off the planet, assist in any negotiations with other parties if the do not want to actually fight a conquering army. We will actively negotiate with all parties, allowing the inhabitants the opportunity for proverbial peaceful surrender, should they desire it.

If any conquering army wishes to negotiate prior to attack, they will attempt to mediate that conversation if allowed. Their primary goal is feed and assist, preventing the unnecessary loss of life.

Most importantly, they have a "camera crew", taping the whole thing, for a documentary that will be produced by people on Henner 12, whose purpose is to "report about life on former IR planets", be artsy, and then be later retooled on a different level as a public relations ploy for Maehl Holdings. If, possible, they'd request follow-up interviews and discussions with all parties, including victors, losers, and all involved. If we don't get access to the planet before hand, they'd request it afterward.

All military actions made will only be defensive in nature, and the team will evade to safety in the event of big explosions and other nasty stuff.
