General Garmin Fe, with Judge Grandis at his side, enters the closed chamber hall. He awaits the arrival of the others.

Sector General Palomedes strides in proudly. At his back are four menacing Red Fist Commandos in matter black power armor. They are Operation:TRUTH commandos and therefore Palomedes knows the meeting will not have any HiveQueens listening in.

He salutes Garmin Fe and Grandis and motions to his guards, "Privacy mode"
Their face shields will noticibly darken.

Then Palomedes says, "Gentlemen, I have been busy with an Estrain outbreak. How have you fared?"

Well, perhaps too well. In fact, our conflict with the E-Strain is precisely why I have called this meeting. I have reason too believe that we may be working things in the wrong direction. We may, in fact, be helping the Angle's of Desolation achieve their goals by wiping out the E-Strain.

Palomedes looks like the wind has been knocked out of him. With a slight shake of his hands he pulls out a hankerchief and wipes his brow.

He thinks, I should have expected this from the TRILAT.

Instead he says, "General, this could put at risk the peace you, Grandis and I tried so very hard to forge. I am going to assume that at least some members of the Unity concensus are aware of this betrayal. And I am not going to ask how far up it goes.
We cannot stop anti-Estrain operations, but we have to make sure the Angels of Desolation are brought to justice.
How do we stop this from breaking the truce?"

The seven members of Unity Taskforce 12 flowed into the room as one silver robes flowing behind them. They had only heard the tail end of the conversation thus far. He responded quickly however, wondering at what would perturb Palomedes so. They, eerily, spoke as one in perfect sync.

"Gentlemen. We apologize for the delay, but we have had a number of actions to plan. It seems you have begun without us, which is not surprising considering the events afoot. What can I do for you?"

"I was just informing Palomedes of the severity of this meeting. We have not officially discussed the problem however. Our dear sector general fears the end of our peace and has projected those fears upon what little I have said."

"In our past operation, information was gained by our scout teams on the derelict E-Strain space station. The information on those computer systems revealed nothing about the activities of the Angel's of Desolation. The instead revealed plans by dispersed E-Strain hives to coordinate attacks upon the AOD terrorist. The scout to reveal this information can not be with us because he was attacked by a member of the terrorist group soon after."

"There is no reason to assume that anyone could have known this. There is no reason to assume that our peace treaty is default. It simply means that we will have to work harder then before. We need to know our enemy, and we need to know who might be helping them and who might be working against them."

"Our treaty calls for the elimination of all E-Strain, correct. Though in this case fulfilling the treaty in the most direct way would only serve the threat it was directed at. The treaty however does not actually dictate our tactics. We would be better off if we could devise a means of unmaking the E-Strain hives, rather then simply destroy them. By doing so, we accomplish both the literal goal of the treaty as well as honoring its spirit. Not to mention we will have obtained an army loyal to the cause and without the need for bloodshed."

"I have a few options I wish to push forward. One concerning the Scalpel of Azrael currently held by the EEF, a device they would not willingly let us have. The other option is a bit stranger. But before we discuss that, I need to know where we stand."

They again spoke as one, pausing only a moment.

"Garmin Fe, we have evaluated all possible interpretations, paradigms, and translations of the existing treaty. This includes all relevant subsections, references, clauses, sub clauses, and so on. The Angels of Desolation are an non-entity in regards to the purview of our documented ledgers. As such, whilst we understand your inability to separate the progenitor from the progeny, and note the same, we dutifully register your concern. It has been sent to the treaty sub-committee 34-B. Once all other issues in que are resolved, you can expect a letter declaring this alleged issue a non-issue.

The treaty stands, and the Unity operates in the best of faith. Even now we are ready to sterilize 20 additional worlds with the sub-efficient treaty mandated nods to Iron Republic unoptimal modalities and unproven verification particulars. If they would wish for us to begin hunting for the Angels of Desolation as well as the E-strain, we would have to open operational parameter progenitor taskforces closed since the formation of the Trilat. Our work has been focused on forces that threaten reality, not terrorist cells past their Prime.

We are moderately interested in your solutions, Garmin Fe, as they bring likely some matter of neo-slaughter to the table that our exceedingly efficient extermination modalities do not, considering your monstrous reputation.

The E-Strain are not a threat because of their allegiance; their existence poses an extinction level threat. As such, regardless of the commanders, we see fit to destroy all E-strain in time, as is our right through treaty. Our relations with the Iron Republic give us a chance to stave off extermination at the hands of this experiment, and allows us to focus on other potentially Universe ending threats.

Palomedes, our dear friend and ally. If you are so concerned about the Angels of Desolation, we could likely work out an arrangement. However, their activities have not demonstrated the same threat tier as many of the other forces currently bearing down on us. What say you?"

Unity Task Force, the point is that evidence has been brought forth that suggests that free consciousness rules the many hives we wish to exterminate. As free thinking sentient beings there comes more then one avenue toward the elimination of the E-Strain.

E-Strain are defined within the treaty as a biological threat and as such it calls for the elimination of them biologically. I've recently tested an alternate means of solving the Magnavor threat, one that we believe the vast hives of free-thinking E-Strain will accept without violence. By implanting them with shard hearts and disposing of their former shells we can purge the many worlds of desperate hives. Meanwhile, Beacon City will offer up the means to give the shard hearts a surrogate body at our expense. The end result will fulfill the treaty and without force or loss of life for either side.

"While the AOD is outside the purview of the treaty, it seems obvious to me that at least one conscious member of Unity knew about this. You can argue if you like Diplomacy Taskforce. But since we got specific planet list to attack from the Unity either there was conspiracy or the Unity was incompetent in its study of our targets. I find conspiracy more possible than the Unity making such a grevious error," said Sector General Palomedes.

"As for the Estrain, if you really have found a cure General Fe implement it. Just realize those shards haearts could get anyone you save shot on IR world for illegal artifacts. They would be forever outcasts still.

The Iron Republic will select the next set of targets. All AOD Worlds infested by Estrain."

Just words there sector general. I assume this means you will delay your forces long enough for me to conduct my operations? As for selecting targets, perhaps that would be best. Is the Unity prepared to give all of its data on E-strain targets to all parties involved before a target is selected?

The Unity Taskforce smiled as one. The extermination would commence, and this diplomatic measure would soon be dealt with...

Then Garmin Fe pulled his insane stunt, and the entirety of the Unity Task Force became as statues.

As a Unity Taskforce, they were directly connected to core processing of the Unity, and were not equipped to handle the influx of so many alien minds. The conflicting emotions, names, and postulates nearly overwhelmed their minds. They were given billions of petitions, all of which needed to be considered by the consensus. It was simply too much.

Then, a quiet began to spread. In momments, millions and millions of E-strain were silenced. Many were bottom quiltiled and others fell to spam filters. Order was restored in minutes.

The Unity Taskforce came to itself, and spoke in their same unison.

"Gentlemen, we apologize. Garmin Fe's subversion of the consensus nearly destroyed us. Its implementation was nearly pagadigm annihilating, stretching our core functional process levers beyond limits justified in our creation. Order has been restored, though, as many E-strain are terrible spammers incapable of adapting. Ironic, considering their idiom."

The Taskforce laughed in unison for 3 seconds, then abruptly stopped.

"Honored Palomedes. We share your concern. It is clear that the Angels of Desolation cannot be trusted, considering their actions of late. However, there is a problem with your proposal.

Part of why we have not been targeting AoD worlds is that we have no reasonable way of finding them. Her command structure is utterly unknown to us, and she has been hiding in the E-Strain tribe structure. It is our hope to flush her out by destroying the tribes we believe she is manipulating behind the scenes. We have proposed targets which will disrupt the operations of tribes which seem to be organizing for a counter-offensive against our alliance. Our targets are E-strain population centers which may well hide clues which will lead us to the Angels of Desolation.

If you have hitherto unknown data highlighting AoD held planets, we would be THRLLED to put those planets as top priority."
