Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  Admin Sat Jun 04, 2011 1:35 am

The Assassin heard the voice of his masters
"This is a very important day, this is the day where you prove yourself worthy of the trust we have placed in you. Your training has been long, it has been hard, and there were days where it seemed that the only thing keeping you alive was your undying faith. Now your faith is rewarded, now you get to show us that our time was well spent upon you. The two of you shall go forth, you shall find Su Maehl, and he will be well guarded, but this will not matter. We trained you to be quick; we trained you to be quiet. You shall bypass his defenses, you shall isolate Maehl and you shall hurt him. He shall feel pain, and he will suffer, but he will not die. Oh no, he will not die. We want him to understand that his actions have consequences; his actions have repercussions beyond the expansion of his wallet. You are Burning Shadows; you slip in like a shadow and then deliver our burning justice to the wicked. Those who dare to harm the Hive, you shall punish for their impudence. Su Maehl is always reaching for his next profit, so you shall remove his hands; your burning blades shall cleave his greedy paws from his body and take his hands back with you. We shall keep them as a reminder and a way of showing others that our vengeance is swift, our justice burns bright. Remember all light creates shadow; you are the embodiment of both light and dark using both to remind all those who live that time may pass but we will never forget, nor will we forgive."

This mission is open to All Players, but players can only send in squads not fleets. Squad is maxed at 7 members, six troops and one lead unit for other players.

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Timothy 12 was so excited he could burst. A JOB! From the Disconnected! He might even have the chance to exchange currency for goods and services! Talk to a desk clerk? Visions of supermarkets and dressing rooms danced in his head as he walked to Su Maehl's office. It was difficult to find...who ever heard of not having a pathfinder program in wall nodes? Balancing a map in one hand and a thick folder of documents in the other, Timothy 12 made his way to what he hoped was Su Maehl's office...

Timothy 12 arrived at the door, but it took him a while. He had gotten lost at least twice. He was not even sure if the office would still be open, or if THIS was the right room. He herd faint sounds inside though, and figured he might as well try to get in. Timothy 12 gingerly opened the door, and beheld a terrible scene. Time slowed, as his training kicked in. He was an Esoteric coder, but he was also one of the Unity's finest blademasters.

In 0.05 seconds, Timothy 12 discarded his papers, and drew his Harmonic Blade. In 0.10 seconds he lightly touched the wall, changing the local electronics to flood the room with light as a featureless mask assembled around Timothy 12's face. He smoothly rushed forward.

Timothy 12 became as death, whirling amongst the assassins and protecting Su Maehl. He sent the call to his brothers, who would soon arrive, thrilling in the dance of blades.

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Gary, Tom, and Fran were buddies. It seemed only natural to everyone else for various reasons. They were relatively young interns working for Maehl Holdings. They had joined up with the company some time after the acquisition of Hener 12, their home planet. The home town connection they shared was just another obvious reason.

Then it happened, Gary looked as if he felt something. Soon after Tom and Fran shared the same concerned expression. They glanced back at each other as they fiddled with their hands. They polity got up together, leaving their work stations behind, and left for the elevator in the hallway. That seemed odd to several of the other office workers, but still, it could easily be explained. Perhaps they planned ahead of time to grab a snack and shoot-the-shit.

What the fellow office workers didn't know was that Gary, Tom, and Fran where not actually born on Hener 12. They were in fact citizens of Beacon City who had trained under the best pilots the city-state had to offer. They were each a master of the Shapeshift layes and used it well to conceal their augmentations. Each one of them carried with them two valuable artifacts crafted by Garmin himself. The first was an artifact to conceal their talents from those who could view the layes. The second was an extremely weak leyas generator. The generator was only powerful enough to allow for their visual concealments.

They had each been assigned to watch Maehl Holdings from the inside. To get a small glimpse of how the business was run and to help Garmin Fe determine if greater levels of trust could be placed in the enigmatic director of the company. The assignment was rather harmless and purely for observation.

Yet, when Gery felt his full potential in the layes become reborn, we had mixed feelings. With it came the euphoria of having his abilities unlocked, but it was also a sign that something was wrong. He looked to Tom and Fran who felt it too and used a specially designed sign language to coordinate their next move. Perhaps Maehl had bought a layes generator and were conducting studies? Perhaps a welcomed gust was arriving via energy bridge? Regardless, the source had to be found, be it a generator or a portal to an elemental plane of existence. They ventured to the upper levels of the estate hoping not to be found out by the building security systems.

[Gery, Tom, and Fran will use their abilities as trained Nano-Fusion Sages to search out the source of any layes radiation and root out any mischief should they find some. They are unarmed with exception to their nano-fusion attacks and layes training. Gery is trained in Light layes, Tom in Water, and Fran in Fire. All are trained in shapeshift. If they come upon Maehl being attacked, they will do whatever it takes to defend his life, starting with appropriate defensive abilities upon the director first. Stealth is one of their most valued skills in the this situation.]

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  Le-aHiveQueen Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:27 pm

Le-a Hive Queen sends in her Cult with a bag full of gemstones to purchase hired thugs so that no one is aware it is Le-a Hive Queen aiding a rouge Hive Queen.

Cultist Benever Jenin walks into a seedy looking bar drops a bag full of gem on the bar and says "i am looking for a 7 cutthroat bastards to go into the offices of Su Maehl to trash and loot the place to distract his guards from the real battle. you may keep all the loot for yourself place our payment. If u like we can cut your pinky finger in case u do not survive and bring you back where u will have your payment waiting for u plus an extra payment if the job is successful." A group of 7 stood up and said "We are the best of the best we will take your job." Then a slew of arguments erupted over who was the best of the best out of the 21 people in the seedy bar. the argument was over after a barrage of shots and only one group of 7 remained clearly the best of the best at least the best of the best in that seedy bar.

the 7 who won introduced themselves as the Elegant psychopaths called so because they are all dressed in gentleman's clothes of the 19th century. Their armor consists of sewed in metal plates underneath their clothing. Their weaponry is 3 of them armed with cane swords and shoe blades the other 3 armed with laser rifles and laser shoes. The leader is a cyborg, Lord Eddington the CXXX in his left hand armed with nano blade cane sword right arm shifts into a plasma cannon he has a visor where his eyes should be that shoot lasers.

The elegant psychopaths get enraged when ever their appearance gets disheveled in the midst of battle. And they insist upon get prim and proper before a battle says if they are not it throws them off their game.

the cultist accepted the 7 paying them 1000,0000 ghaz worth of gems and paying them 50,000 ghaz upfront and an extra 50,000 upon completion.

(these mercs are available for hire to all factions cost is 100,000 ghaz)

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  blackheartsecurity Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:45 am

Childeen didn't like this assignment. With some one as active and visible as Su Maehl it was unfeasible to bundle him up tight until the threat passed. The security detail would have to be able to adapt quickly.

For space travel Mr Maehls ship would be scanned for bombs, stowaways, etc before each flight. Maehl however would be flying in a two seat fighter. That was acting as part of the escort though. If his ship were attacked the fighter with him on it will boogie.

The security team will consist of 4x Lionguard medics (Immutable) acting as body guards in the iron republic. Due to restrictions on various items they will be armed with their standard load out plus monobladed knives and swords. They will sty in diamond formation a few meters away at all times besides meetings that Su Maehl designates as needing privacy. Then they will wait Outside the door. For transit they will move via ground convoy of hover vehicles, checking in with local law enforcement as they go.

The free systems security detail will be 2x immutable Lion guard medics and 2x former mongrels. The mongrels will have test rings plus Tacticool uniforms and monobladed knives. The immutables will have standard lionguard loadout plus monobladed knives. They will have artifacts for shadow and fire wards (The most common leyas for B&E and leyas based bombs) his residence and work place. In transit he will be implored to take a warded AAV or Nighthawk from place to place.

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  Ar'yayhivequeen Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:03 pm

Lenny Karinos held his fire blade in his right hand while he raised his poison dark blowgun to his mouth in the left, Taking aim he fired it straight at Su Maehl. He knew the poison would work if it hit, it would slow down the victim's movement without dulling their senses so he could still feel pain. Lenny was very well trained, after the dart hit he would drag down Maehl pull his arms forward and begin to slice his hands off above the wrists. Lenny was quite confident in his abilities he worked very hard to get where he was. Second in command of the Burning Shadows. Ever since he joined, during the time when his home of Druzi was being attacked by the Trilat and Maehl Holdings spent more time trying to look good and make profitable deals with the Trilat then trying to protect the people there. He remembered Su Maehl fleeing on his ship as soon as the trouble started. It was the Horned Dog, TNI, and Blackheart who protected them. Now he had his time for revenge, now he could show this coward that his actions had consequences.
Lenny's companion was on look out, his job was to see if any guards would interfere. His job was simple, if anyone tried to get in he would activate his armor's last ability, he would open up a small energy bridge and let in the rest of the team, 5 Red Fist Commandos.

Once the commandos were in their orders were also very simple. Considering that trouble had found them they would guarantee success of the operation. Not because they were invincible, but because they would be changing the venue of the mission. Upon engagement with enemy forces two of the commandos would place their hands on the ground and change the entire floor of the room into an energy bridge. Everyone would fall through and come out on a small deserted island on Kyrpos. No more soldiers awaited on the island as it was a bit away from the nearest friendly Hive.
The reason for the change in venue was to prevent rescue as the energy bridge would close after the attack team and Su Maehl fell through. Most likely any of his defenders who were in side the room would come in as well but Lenny was quite sure that once they were on Kyrpos the Red Fist Commandos would be empowered enough to take on whatever team was there to rescue Su. If given a chance one of the commandos would help with the removal of Su's hands, that was of utmost importance.

Once the hands have been removed, the energy bridge to the office would be reopened and Su would be tossed through closing it after him. His life is his own and they did not desire it.

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  TerraNovaIndustries Fri Jun 10, 2011 5:01 pm

Twain had his face pasted to his ships' side starboard view port. Every which direction he looked there was something new to take in. KRYPTOS! Twain was actually in the land of Quall! The very idea that he was in the home of the boogeymen that mothers on Refuge scared their children with was almost too much for him to take.

"Sir, we're coming up on the rendezvous point." The ships' pilot announced over the intercom.

Twain was in Kryptos to drop off some samples for his clients, the Church of the Horned Dog. Ostensibly, the samples were for the Prelate's people to consider for their new ship but Twain was hoping that they would be used in a much more immediate capacity.

Arriving at the coordinates that they had been given, Twain's Trident uncloaked and landed on a small island in the middle of a seemingly unending sea of lava.

Exiting his ship Twain paused and took in the sight of 5 Quall dressed in Red Fist Power Armor and the 3 Earthers who stood next to them.

Clearing his throat Twain greeted the group "Good day, I don't want to offend anyone but who should I be addressing first?"

"We will take care of the technical aspects of your samples Sir" one of the Earthers volunteered. "But we need to know if the samples can be used immediately or if they need some sort of special setup."

Twain glanced over at the Red Fist Commandos, "Would the samples need to be able to be fitted to power armor for the 'test trial'"?

The Earther tech nodded his head and Twain went back into the heavily modified Trident coming back with 2 large fire extinguishers, 2 small sprayers and a small box.

"These are Non-Newtonian Radiological Absorptive Foam dispensers," Twain said gesturing to the fire extinguishers, "meaning that they spray a dense foam that will at least partially absorb leyas energy. It comes out in a good sized cone and has a range of about 20 feet. Don't, and I repeat don't get any on yourself if you plan on using the leyas or moving since the foam is designed to expand, gum up joints and generally be a pain in the ass."

"These sprayers are full of solvent that will disperse the foam with no ill side effects.... at least that we've found so far."

"Lastly," Twain said holding up the small box, "this is a BN Box. It is a weapon of last resort. It's non-lethal but can have some pretty crazy side effects. My personal recommendation is that you use it away from any population centers. It works using sub-audible frequencies so I suggest that you have your communications gear filter out everything on this list." Twain passed the list and the sprayer instructions to the tech.

"As you undoubtedly have noticed the 'Foam dispensers, sprayers and the BN box have weapon, power armor and ship mounting brackets so you can attach them to whatever you want to mount them on for testing. One more thing, the BN Box is a one time use device and will melt down after use so make sure that you have 'ideal' conditions before using it."

Nodding to the Quall and then the Earthers, Twain took his leave. Just before entering his already hovering ship he yelled over his should "Tell Prelate Y thanks and that I'll be in touch!"

________________________________________________________________________________________________________
OOC: Twain has fitted a Brown Note Device with an extremely small integrated explosive. After one use the explosive will destroy the internal workings of the device and the box with contain the blast.

The companions of Timothy responded quickly. Five of them keyed into Timothy's optics and sensors. They provided advice and warnings to Timothy at the speed of thought, allowing him to act confidently and with intimate understanding of the battle.

Timothy 12 found himself in a chaotic scene. Battle writhed around him, but he knew he had to protect Maehl. He ducked below a projectile that screamed over his head, twisting im a smooth option and striking with his harmonic blade. His opponent split at the waist, shock quickly turning to the glaze of death. Timothy flipped over his opponent, splitting the head of another for with a lightning quick stroke before landing next to Maehl.

His voice was monotone, unlike the picky Timothy Maehl thought he knew. He stated that the facility was insecure, and that they must withdraw. Timothy activated him causility manipulator he word under his suit, and teleported them to another end of the ship. He quickly moved them again to another location, prepared defenses, and called for more guards.

Post  LeftenantRyuk Fri Jun 10, 2011 11:00 pm

Ryuk heard that Su Maehl was a target for assassination, and delighted at his chance to gain the "goody goody's" favor. Yr implied he would hold a favor like this in high regard.

Ryuk looked at his 5 new recruits, all K'ias Sanguine Lords that have worked together before.
He looks at the the K'ias that assumed the command of the others, and briefs him on the situtation.

You are to go in, kill the assassin and any other threats to Su Maehl, and inform him that I haven't heard
from him about my casino. When you are done, come back and let me know how everything went.

and with that he sent them off.

Post  ViggoTheKasanthian Sat Jun 11, 2011 2:04 am

It will begin with a transmisson
"...Cof...Captain Axis,
I have heard tale of the contract out on Su Maehl, and i was wondering yet again if you ...ur... uth seers might be able to ...asd....assist me in find out his location. If your seers help make this happen, i will gladly ...sie...split the rewards with you. Again, I am just looking for his coordinates, i have a special crew just ...imu...itching to go after Maehl. Damn the ..mo...man, down with the ghazz grubbing corporate suits.
-Viggo the Kasanthian."

Once i know where the hit is going to take place, i will put together a crew just right for the job. First will be Heck'to, actting as leyas overwatch. He is an old Kasathian vampire who has spend his unlife becoming very proficient in the leyas arts of protection.None of Heck'to's enslaved nightmares will accompany because I have him having full concentration to get the job done, and by whatever means necessary. Alongside Hectk'to will be Valic DarkBlade. Valic is a Kasathian that has followed in the Devil Bishops footsetps, a truly vicious fighter. Valic will be followed by his 3 gargoylesque nightmares as well as two Black Cats of RU V. This would be my version of the brute squad. Valic's namesake is a special artificied set of katana and wakazashi that steals the lifeforce from those that the blades strike. I have made Valic an offer: i will provide him with a truly legendary weapon if he will sacrifice one of his blades to make a powerful light ward. Heck'to will open an energy bridge connecting to the coordiantes. Once there, Valic will set up the light ward using the power provided from the sacrifice. Heck'to will cover all nightmares with become shadow, they will assault the camp using a guerilla style ambush, and then return to shadow form as a diversion. Heck'to will remain near the energy bridge in shadow form, observing the attacks. Valic will use shadow form as well, his task is the stealthily sneak up, knock Su Maehl out take him and cover them both in shdow form. If something should go wrong, Heck'to who is not normally much of a fighter, will burn essence to become a great fighter. Strong and quicker than any on this battlefield. With this, we will bring the body to the buyer to complete the deal. They may take vengence out on Maehl however they deem necessary, and my brute squad will offer a hand in that free of charge if the buy wishes. Poor Su Maehl Twisted Evil

Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl Empty Re: Week 6 Insurrection Mission - The Assassins come for Su Maehl

Post  MaehlHoldings Sat Jun 11, 2011 2:42 am

Su had just returned from his meeting with Zaodonai Ha'Jima. He was already behind in his work. He had a war to avert with the EEF, ironically enough since he just spent the last few days among their Uth contingent. He had reports to file for IG Capital, and then he had to deal with Ryuk's casino. Too much work, Su thought to himself.

Hiring Blackheart was a risky move for him, as he wasn't sure it was good to keep someone whose motives were historically questionable... and while Blackheart himself was a hunted man. However, he explained to anyone that asks, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Besides, it was a calculated move. He had less than love for Vulfrym and Ar'Yay Hive Queen, but Blackheart was a valuable asset ... for now. And we'll see how long the Temporal Empire thinks that's the case.

His guards were everywhere, as were Blackheart's. He just purchased a bunch of Grey Waveform weapons, which were nice because his Tzira guards could carry, and most importantly shoot, 4 of them at the same time. All but one, he had regular guns and ammo, just in case. But this was his office...just cameras everywhere, as was a Leyas scanner. His guards everywhere else had the same, as well as larval scanners. When lots of people want your place in this galaxy, it's always safe to know what's coming at you. He tapped his temporal alarm he kept in his pocket, as a nice reminder that it was good having honorable friends, no matter what. Plus, there's always the potted plant in the corner, which thankfully never needed watering. It was a large, bushy thing, but it did it's job. The color was great, and often "softened" up the room.

Su checked his watch. It was tea time with Timothy Twelve (newly dubbed!). While he rarely did HR tasks personally, this one was semi-personal. He wanted to meet the man that kept him out of a penal colony. He also wanted to experience the excitement that Timothy exuded from his correspondences, especially when he found out he was being put on a consulting team to maximize computational efficiency... for what he called "esoterics." Plus, it was a nice business crossover.

Su laughed at himself for a moment. Who would have thought, two years ago, he'd be here today? He used to be the second in command of one of the largest Pirate Fleets in the Free Systems. 14 years he spent as pirate, and all those years of experience were not wasted. It wasn't merely luck that allowed him to rise in the ranks the way he did. "Let people forget that," he thought to himself. The less intimidating he appeared, the better off he was. As always, people never see him coming. Q had always loved that about him, and it has served him well in the business world as the owner of the largest IRLC in the Polar Expanse.

Su was still armed, despite being a business man. He packed a Grey Waveform pistol, which was nicely weighted and not very heavy. He also concealed a whipblade, which was nice because it retracted into a relatively small handle. Nice for close quarters if needed, especially for strangling and quiet kills. Also goes through armor, which was a double bonus. He thought briefly for a moment about what his life would be like without being in an IRLC, when suddenly there was a knock on his door. He looked over and checked on the tea, which was ready.

"Come in, Timothy."

**come whatever may!**
