I have guys, but since you did such a phenomenal job for me before, I thought that the least I could do to repay you would be to offer you an additional opportunity to study what you consider "esoterics".

If you accept, I'll have a ship waiting for delivery to the rest of the team and their location. If you require clearence from the Unity, let me know and I will arrange what I can.

For your reference, this job will not take place in the Iron Republic.

This is an honor! We at the computing esoterica laboratory have learned a great deal from the last. I've shown some of my fellows optimal typing techniques, and we even had a few keyboards manufactured! They have been very helpful in letting us understand just how long it could take to write code, and character efficiency. We didn't consider the time/character constraints involved in disconnected code before our work with you, and it has been supremely helpful.

In short, I'd like to know how long this will take, and who I will be working with, but if possible we would love to work with you again.

I have a special job in mind. Maehl Holdings was hired to do business consult for a fledgling organization, not Iron Republic in origin. I have a team visiting that will be visiting the site early next week, and I'd like you to join them as a communications specialist. My team will analyze the numbers, do the report, but I'd like a computer guy to see what the state of their organization currently is and, using what you refer to as "esoterics", how can their current structure be improved on what will eventually be the required minimal business parameters we indicate. You'll be part of a team, and you'll have the chance to talk to non-connected in the process. You'll do what you do best, and hopefully learn more in the process.

If this works out, we'll get you onto other projects as well. But figure let's see how you like this first before taking too many steps ahead. In the mean time, we'll get you processed into our system, which, sadly, you'll have to let us do for you, as slow as you may find it, and if for no other reason that my employees would consider it in poor taste when the new guy tries to do everything. In fact, I had my HR department put together a series of protocols that you might find useful, and perhaps distinct, while interacting with non-connected. I copy/paste it below:

Things to Note for Timothy 12
1) When in doubt, check-in with your superior, which will require a comm request to either them or their assistant, which will most likely result in wait time from 30 seconds to 24 hours for a response.
2) Only authorized equipment is to be used to uplink with Maehl Holdings' comm systems. All equipment must be pre-authorized by IT Services, which may also take up to 24 hours
3) Wait time is a standard practice everywhere around the universe, and will most likely be the most difficult thing for a connected Unity citizen to deal with. A handbook will be provided as to how to manage wait time effectively. As an included amenity, there will be a person available to speak to you should this wait time prove overwhelming
4) All laws regarding Treaties 2218 and 2220 must be adhered to at all times, specifically with regards to the use of Leyas Radiation and other "techniques" outlawed by the Iron Republic and/or resident territory.
5) Employment is offered on an "at will" basis, by which both parties can cease at any time without repercussion. It is common courtesy that the employee will provide no less than 2 weeks notice if they will be leaving the company. While on this occasion there is no expectation from Maehl Holdings that employment will be consistent, it is requested a project be completed before leaving our employ and, as a courtesy, to adhere to the above request for the purpose of ensuring your teammates have the proper opportunity to plan any farewell actions on your behalf. In other words, its as much for social reasons as it is professional ones.
6) People in the Free Systems have lettered last names. Therefore, you will formally be registered as Timothy Twelve on your work visa and passport. People will most likely refer you, when being formal, as Mr. Twelve. I will allow a one-time change in surname, and paperwork will be available to do the same. Again, wait time will be involved. Conversely, in social settings you may request people refer to you as Timothy, or an alternate name, when speaking to you personally.

I have dispatched a ship, where you will be processed. It may take a few days. I'll arrange for quarters accordingly. I will be gone most of the week, but I will invite you to tea before you are dispatched for your project. I'll see you then. Let me know if there are any problems.

I've looked over the contract, and I believe you are offering me a chance that we have not had in a long time. I know that it will take some adjustment...but I am willing to give it a try.

Regarding your communication times, there seems to be a great deal of variance. I'll try my best to adjust. My first experience with your "key boards" was illuminating, and will likely help me as I adjust to working with teams that need to use sounds to co-ordinate.

I am really excited to learn more about this project, and will enjoy tea as things are settled.
