Fleet construction and ship types
Just a few fleet questions...
First, should we create threads indicating what class of ships correlate with the classifications on our character sheet? This might prevent miscommunications regarding what we think we have.
Secondly, how do factions go about making new ships to throw headlong into battle?
Third, I have a few heavy capital ships, but no ship design for heavy capital ships (as far as I know); until I research such a design, are these ships just capacity waiting to be used for my new heavy capital ship design?

Re: Fleet construction and ship types
No need to set up separate threads for ship classification. Anyone who has a question about what class a specific ship falls into should post the ship name and we will post what class.
For example
Unity Dreadnaughts- medium capital ship
Unity Arcturus- medium capital ship
Unity Void Lord - light capital ship
Unity Armiger - light capital ship
Now it is true that Unity has no Heavy Capital ship unique to them. But all factions are allowed access to Banking Guild ships, so you'd have 2 choices.
Choice 1- use Banking Guild Heavy Frigates
Choice 2- wait until you develop a new design of heavy capital ship and then use the numbers for them.
Construction
A construction forum will be started. Player must post specific ship type they are building and percents of production from their planets they are devoting to the task. We will then post up how many ships will get produced at that rate. Once every GT week, we will update lists based on production.to prevent this from becoming overwhelming, all players must handle their own accounting and show their math

Also, can we list banking guild ships in our production?

Yes Colonies (shared etc) and floating islands count towards production as long as they have an industry stat.
Banking Guild ships yes ( as long as you don't sell them)
However a good rule of thumb is you can build stuff from your own faction for any use (defense offense sale etc), banking guild stuff can be built for use but not sale, and other factions designs must be purchased from that faction before you can access their proprietary design.
There are some additional storyline limitations like you need a Nightmare pit to build living Nightmare vessels like the Kasanthian Missile ship. You need WPCs to build inertial gel protected pilot brains for Sagittae & Grex. You need a VIA for Sephir mek ships. That only comes into play with more obscure methods of propulsion or "pilot".

Megalodon - Medium Capital Ship
Mini-Galaxy Drive: Vehicles of Planetary Destruction (due to ability to move entire planets around)
Re: Fleet construction and ship types
Sorry, just had a thought. When we produce a vessel that has other vessels with it, such as a frieghter with shuttles/fighters, does it come with them or do we have to produce them seperately?
for example:
If i build Interplanetary Gunship ultralight frigates, does it come with the 8 gunpods and 4 SAVs?
or do i have to produce them seperately and then add them to the ship?

Yes they do come with it (only standard armaments). However you cannot split them off an use them separately (as in a different mission) and if the capital ship is destroyed you lose its accompanying Starfighters etc.
