The Creation of the Intellectual International Consortium

To the members of the Trilat:

We, of the Free Systems, have had the honor of traversing the Polar Expanse and experiencing the wonders that there are to behold throughout the Polar Expanse. Throughout our travels, serving as conduits of culture, commerce, and goods, we have learned much about the differing perspectives throughout the universe. Our culture has been massively influenced by the disparate cultures throughout the universe, and we have grown as a people as a result of the diversity of goods, thoughts, and cultures.

Though our travels and experiences, we have come to the realization that when you bring diverse methods, approaches, philosophies, and knowledge together current boundaries can be broken, obstacles overcome, and greatness achieved. It is with this mentality that we, of the Free Systems, wish to bring together a consortium of intellectuals from all over the universe to work together for common good. Engineers, academics, researchers, statisticians, scientists, doctors, writers, mystical adepts, philosophers, and all other sources of knowledge and expertise are invited to join this consortium. In some cases, there mere presence of your people will assist in this endeavor. The purpose of this consortium is to come together to share ideas from all parts of space, work together for common good, and better understand the ever changing environment in the universe.

While the Intergalactic Intellectual Consortium (IIC) will be located in the Free Systems, the knowledge and information gathered from it will be available to all participants of this consortium. In other words, none of the studies, technologies, or advances made by this group will be considered proprietary information. The individuals participating in this consortium will be granted temporary residence in the Free Systems, and protected by our treaties throughout the Universe. As the IIC is sponsored by the Free Systems, their salaries will be paid by local sponsors, and can come and go as they please.

To this end, in the interest of honesty and transparency, we request your permission to recruit within your territory for this endeavor. We hope to begin our work within the next two weeks, and hope you and your leadership in amenable to this endeavor. Should you require any additional information, we will be more than happy to provide it.

The Oleifera now appears as a multi-trunked, enormous tree in the middle of a grassy quadrangle, which is mostly shaded by its branches. Multitudes of liana and ferns drape from its branches. Behind and to the side of the great tree fresh-looking, elegant buildings are visible. Some construction is apparent, and grey-robed figures bustle along stone pathways.

“This one is just overseeing the final touches on the construction of the Zahazian Institute of Ecosystems Science and Technology, which was just founded and built this week. This fledging university is dedicated to the ancient teaching of the Oleifera, namely the study of history and science, along with Oleiferan culture and art. These studies are the foundation for applied sciences which will be aimed towards deep space exploration, terraforming, and above all, the ways of peace.

If this institute could be a sister site to your Consortium in the Free Systems, there would be an excellent groundwork for exchange of ideas between our two areas. This one will oversee the additional building of a conference center for holding IIC events in TRILAT space, if it is desired. Also, if IIC members would like to come and study our ways, and perhaps teach a bit of their own, we will provide a stipend and living quarters on Zahaz, and they will be under the protection of myself and the Builders.

Within the first week

1500 peoples of specialized skills have been given special passports to travel to the Intergalactic Intellectual Consortium.

Zahaz and the Beacon City Colonies in return have had a boom in Education and a desire to learn about new cultures.
ZIEST has had a huge influx of students from the Free Systems, children of diplomats on the run, children of Space Pirates, even children from Tzira Insectoid species hoping for an education that does end in slavery in a work colony (a fate many Tzira face in the Iron Republc)
