Plans for the Arc of Midas

The Estrain has been spotted again. I'm sure the Iron Republic will be expecting assistance. I think its quite obvious that any engagement will be costly unless it is planned to perfection. Revelation plague, manslayers, and bloomships we can guarantee. Yet I'm expecting an additional surprise. We need reliable recon before anything else.

I have 6 Arcturus Warships, 2 Unity Dreadnoughts, 8 Aermigers, 60 Juton Mk2, 140 Sagitea, and 10 Grex Fighters that are available for commitment to this battle.

Why are we looking to go after a boat when everyone has spaceships? Is there something on it that is important? Is there a hand that can turn everything into gold?

I'm confused, why is this important?

This is not a discussion about an boat, this is a discussion about a circle of asteroids that blocks an E-Strain fleet. The mission is to eliminate E-Strain as per the Unity's treaty with the Iron Republic. That matter concerns you if you insist on being an extension of the Unity. Success of this mission should, as according to the treaty we have, earn us Iron Republic planets granted to us by the Republic itself.

Back to the matter at hand. I have authorized the use of 3 Hearts of the Forgotten to be used upon the belt itself. I do not desire to know what awaits us inside without inoculating the situation first. My only hope is that the Quall do not interfere with their presence before I deploy.

can we just destroy everything and be done with it ?

Get a big one you can melt almost anything, and most metals make pretty sparcs! A guy I was dicing with showed me how it does that! and it only took about 30 seconds

Why don't we just use those on the asteroid field? melt everything in our way?

Hmm... Gold is indeed the optimal conductor for electricity. I can't say how well it reacts to microwaves.

We have a general plan. The Iron Republic has proposed using Red Star satellites to cut a hole through the center of the field. Garmin Fe will begin the action with Hearts of the Forgotten, slaughtering those within.

I will use the Zero Metal in order to neutralize the Revelation Nanoplauge. We will also attempt to hack the gravitic generators on site in order to gain control over the battlefield and deal with any unpleasant eventualities. Use of the Zero Metal will likely prevent the E-strain from initiating super-novas in the suns, as they likely intend.

Ryuk, you and yours are welcome to protect the Void Lords I will be using for the hacks. Additionally, if the Kassanthians as a whole could turn the asteroid belt into a nightmare base...you could make many ships with that raw material. They money, as well, would be yours.
