I just want to say that as good of an idea that time-shredding may be... there are many things that you just can't figure out. Wibbley Wobbly timey wimey... nothing ever stays straight.

I can think of at least two instances where time shredding actually fixed situations made untenable by dumb player actions.

I concur. In the hands of a responsible person a time shredder is a way to turn the tide of a losing battle in our favor.
Imagine if someone (hint hint temporal empire) could have come back and told us to expect the Revelation.
While I kind of expected it, my character would never have saw that thing coming.

Wow technically I could've done the same thing but I was not part of the space campaign 2 or 1 for that matter so I didn't think to do that lol

I bet the problems time shreddimg fixed were only caused by time shredding to begin with.
And there is a whole game about time shredding precisely because it nearly always goes wrong which is why its fun.
