**Message sent out to Temporal Empire, Sora, Damien, Mercs for Hire**
Dear friends,
Our old enemy Crimelord Van Der Krimson apparently has something that the Angels of Desolation want. Except, I've seen this ploy before, and it's a trap. And a poorly laid one at that. At the edge of Volans, on the verge of Iron Republic territory, and a diamond that is imbued with "demonic power." Don't take the bait. If we want Crimelord Van Der Krimson, we can tap his ships with tracers and track them to his base, although if we wanted him that badly, we would just go after him.
So it's a trap, but the question is what kind of trap. Is it the trap that goes boom? The trap where an ambush awaits? The trap that leaves you disabled in the middle of a foreign territory and threatens to breach international treaty?
So here's what I suggest. I'm going to set up a communications grid from Tapestry, as well as defenses on the planet on Sora's behalf. Captain Sora, I'm going to give you about 1 million ghaz worth of defenses. Happy birthday, long live the Free Systems! If anyone comes close to Tapestry that is not authorized, blast them (after providing sufficient warning, of course). We'll then do the usual "who goes there?" routine, and if the ship is unauthorized, well, I have a plan for that. And it involves a common enemy of the Angels of Desolation. Funny how that happens, eh?
If anyone has any ideas, now is the time to say them. And for the love of all that's good, don't take the bait.
Yours sincerely,
Su Maehl
