WK6 rescue after effects

Childeen was pissed he hadn't been able to bring more of a fleet in. However now he had to get his people back. word of the auction came through unusual channels. An interplanar intel-report forwarded by a friend after being scrubbed of all highly sensitive information. The source seemed to originate in the Djinni camp (Though the sources name and designation were blacked out from the transcript it would not surprise Childeen if one of the Djinni let the EEF know just to watch the fireworks).

He called up Strykker and Vulfrym waiting for the H.E.M. encryption system to kick in.

You have probably read the same report I have concerning the people captured in the pirate raid on my trade fleet. They are going to hold the auction soon I can only hope they missed at least one of the lions emergency beacons. I have no problem committing all of my fleet to recovering my people.

I am also going to attempt to to work this economically. The pirates seem to have way too much conviction in this, this would honestly be the first time that a pirate couldn't be bought.

I have made a foraml plea to be allowed to intervene in the Free systems. I honestly expect them to say no but at least I tried. That said I will do everything I can to secure the freedom of these people. If that means military action fine. If it means buying them back we can also put funds at your disposal.

I have one of my people at the auction, the Djinni, Krato, another hive queen, and several others aliens, as well as a smattering of human slavers are all present. He has made an initial bid, and is currently highest bidder. How much are you putting at my disposal? Or do you have an operative in place there? My man literally has all of this quarters profits at his disposal.

I am also sending a wing of thirty Aegis to act as rearguard for any military action you decide to take.

I would warn against a standard strike though. Even with an overwhelming fleet the casualties would be significant and it would be too slow by the time we were in position to rescue the hostages they would be long dead.

Does any one have another plan if I can't pay for them?

Right now the EEF can put 250,000 ghaz at your disposal. I'm trying to get approval for more. I'm also willing to provide one million ghaz of my own money. What is the current bid? Is there anyway you way can get me locations on the auction and bidders who aren't there in person? If anyone is outside Free Systems space I'll take a shot at them. But the Free Systems and Da'humb are already so put out with the EEF I doubt I'd manage to get a force large enough to make a difference passed them.

Its best if we win the auction failing that I'd hope the Hivequeen or the krato win they'll be the easiest to get them back from I think. If any Humans pick them up they'll probably scatter all over the place and if the djinni get them any attempts to rescue them will only provide entertainment and they won't give them up until they're bored with them. And being djinni they're likely to get rid of them in some "entertaining" way. Either way our best change will probably be to find and disrupt the delivery after the auction,

Currently my man has the high bid at 6.5 million. I have given one of my representative access to 51 million to bid. If the price rises past that he will offer all rights and title for the crown jewel of the Blackheart Corporation, the planet Conflagros.

Disrupting the auction would likely end in a worse fate for the hostages as they are given freely to one of the entities.

I am still open for other ideas.

I meant we could retake them after the winner had recieved the prisoners not to break up the auction itself. I doubt the pirates will care what happenes once they have their money. I'll see what I can do to raise more funds. Clearly the stakes have gotten higher than I antcipated.

Gentleman I have two plans. The first will be a last resort and will cause diplomatic repercussions with the temporal empire. However seeing as I am already number 4 I some how doubt it can get much worse.

I will take two of my lions, we time shred in, I use the punishment of the left on all opposition. We free and revive our people and time shred out.

I have another plan to end this ridiculous blood feud. One that is much less drastic. If all he really wants is his love back, we get her from Aryay, Azrael's scalpal, give her back to him, and call it a day. I can contact the Hive Queen right now to see if she is game.

FM Strykker, the hive queen got back to me, she has agreed to give us the crew. they are still human and we can use the scalpal to restore them. We have to move quickly and treat the captain Baby blue McConnel and get her in front of a camera so your man at the auction can place that as his bid.

She's agreed to return all of the crews? What did you give her? For now we'll open up energy bridges to Krypos from Zelga so we can get them to the scapel right away Mcconnel can go first and we can let her send a message to the person running the auction. After Blackheart's man makes the bid. If we need to we can teleport her there in person.

My man has already placed a bid, If you can get a man to the rendezvous point in a hurry he can bid it himself. By the time he gets there Baby Blue should be ready to be reunited with her lover, who is the guy running the auction by the way?

Agreed we'll send someone out there ASAP. Infact I think I'll ask Celyse to send someone. If I sent someone in an EEF uniform they'd probably end up on the block to.

I can't believe I am saying this but seeing as she is willing to help make sure that this clears the Hive Queens name too, please talk about how moved she felt over this tale of love lost and out of her sense of goodness gave us the crew to be saved from transformation.

So it's just Babyblue? I need the exact number so I can instruct our bidder.

Full crew but note baby blue specifically. I can't wait to be done with these infernal pirates.

I've contacted Celyse about sending a representative us at the auction. I'm waiting to hear back from her.

I've heard back from Celyse and she's agreed to help. She will be sending one of her men to the auction to make the offer and they'll bring along two of the now larva free pirates to prove we're willing and able to carry out our end

With all due respect, I just heard a replay of the bid, it didn't mention myself, vulfrym, or the hive queens helping in this matter. I some how doubt this will put an end to this fiasco, though it may get our people back.

I don't know the wording used but I'm sure Celyse's men presented the offer as they felt best. More to the point we'll have plenty of details to work out with the pirates later. So they will know who arranged this. For now I think its enough that the offer was made.

If you disagree. Perhaps your man there could clarify the situation further to the auctioneer?
