Attn: General Fe- An inquiry concerning leyas

Transmitted is a standard video-message from Michael.

"General Fe, I have come to the conclusion that gaining the knowledge required to manipulate leyas will be useful in the future. I am interested in learning from you whatever you can provide. Unfortunately, moving anywhere 'in the flesh' may be difficult; if you need to teach in person, I will begin putting plans into action that may allow for that."

It may be best to be able to do this in person. Controlling the leyas is not always easy. If one is not careful, nightmares can result that have no other desire then to destroy its creator. I can't imagine a way to teach this skill without a guide being physically present. Then again, some have developed skills merely by exposing themselves to its radiation, and by being fortunate.

A great example was when a leyas generator landed on some hick planet. In a matter of months a lone priest had learned to control it well enough to begin a fanatic upheaval, overthrowing the government of his planet and those planets near to it.

Though I see this as a rare case. The more likely scenario was that nightmares would flood the nearby towns and kill off most of the population. The result being a mysterious dead zone that people would learn to avoid.

Michael contemplates that for a moment. Almost literally. The videomessage is sent back within a few seconds of it being received.

"That is an interesting issue. While I am not really worried about a few nightmares appearing to try destroying me, or something along those lines, my situation is somewhat unique in that regard. I am not particularly interested in finding out how bad it can get.

I suppose we will have to wait a bit. Thanks for the information."

Enclosed is a standard videomessage from Michael.

"General Fe, Grand Admiral Layne Yr managed to develop an elegant solution to our problem. She sent one of her people over to Habitat III, parked her in orbit, and we are now going through the 'teaching' process via real-time video uplink. The results, at least in my opinion, have been impressive. If you have anyone who can teach me the basics of anything you have available, I would much appreciate. The more knowledge I have, the better."
