High Priority Message to the Sector Generals and Board of Directors

To Those Responsible for the Iron Republic,

We have formed an agreement which regards the E-Strain. My interest goes beyond extermination, or the mere "buying back" of Unity planets.

Once before, we asked the Board to let us help prepare the Iron Republic to deal with threats that affect us all. Our lack of understanding of Iron Republic laws thwarted this effort, and set our diplomatic efforts back years. The time has come where we must once again ask for you to let us help you.

Our long-range scans indicate that the signatures of temporal wormholes are opening across the Bretheren Expanse. If this is accurate, then the Metatrons of Fate may well be staging an invasion. You may think this is like other invasions you have dealt with, but I beg you to not underestimate the danger they represent. They care nothing for learning from opponents, or maintaining biodiversity. If they have gone mad, as I fear they have, they will simply start depopulating your undefended planets to increase their number. They will actively avoid direct conflict, and will take advantage of your slow communication systems.

I have access to the algorithms they were born from, and so I can help you anticipate their movements. We can supply you with blessed weapons, which you will sorely need. We seek your cooperation, and seek to know the extend of the damage if the long-range scans are accurate.

Many in the IR do not understand the differences between your people and these Fleets of Fate, which we neither confirm nor deny facing in the Brethren Expanse at this time.

Perhaps if you could explain who and or what these Metatrons are, it might be helpful to the Board.

The Metatron program was an effort by the Unity to harness extra dimensional entropic forces, or deamonic energy, in order to exert out will on the multiverse. The Metatrons were keyed to Unity organic super computers, called choirs. The Metatrons of Fate were keyed to the choir whose name they share, which devotes much of its time to the development of prognostication equations such that we can anticipate the movement of our foes.

When the Metatrons were trapped by the Wormhole Weapon, they lost contact with the Choir and the Unity, which acted as a conscience and whose will influenced them. Stranded, we predict that the Metatrons of Fate went mad and moved to re-align their new Universe in such a way that it could be easily understood.

They are made from a fast growing infused biological material which draws strength from the life force of planets. One Metatron is a match for an Iron Republic capital ship. They care only for efficiency, and know nothing of the rules of war.

You are our allies, and we have prepared defenses against the fleets of Fate. If they are there, I ask you to please let us help you. Every second they are unopposed their number grows.

I believe I can help in this matter. I recently intercepted a warning signal from a Grey Fleet in my territory. It was an all-call to their colony located near Bootes.

They gave the coordinates for a new Temporal Wormhole punched into our reality near the largest hot bed of rebels in the Brethren Expanse. I just saw the info today. I'm worried, old chaps.

If the Grey are concerned about this threat, why then so should the Iron Republic.

Sector General, we have a spare moon we are about to turn into a third battle station and launch at the fleets of Fate. We are also moving to optimize our portal research. As soon as you give the all-clear, we can begin joint fleet planning to push back those of Fate that have gone mad.

We can also help you prepare planetary defenses and anticipate their movements. You have been good foes, but the Metatrons do not know what playing fair is. They will take advantage of any weakness, and will turn your people into fuel.

The Metatrons of Fate will simply avoid your defensive fleets, covering your poorly defended worlds in dark forests which consume all life. Once they have reached critical mass, they will strike at your core planets to cripple your command structure. Then, using your worlds, they will cover this Universe in darkness.
