Damaged and Destroyed ships? Empty Damaged and Destroyed ships?

I notice there r slots on my character sheet for damaged and destroyed ships. I get that a destroyed ship is gone from use.
But if a ship is damaged how do I get it repaired?
Does it cost us Ghaz or credits? If so how much...and how long does it take?

Each faction has unique techniques, and individual resource gathering and repair technology that wildly affects how much actual ghaz goes into repairing a fleet. Some ships like Stilleto Starfighters could be rebuilt on a dusty old airstrip, whereas some capital ships require full spacedocks to even consider repairing.

Here is a basic breakdown of repair times

1 Week RT- Immediate repair
Groups with Immediate repair bonus include Unity, Fort Lendill, TerraNova Industries and certain NPC species like Sephir, Grey and Da'uhnb.

1 Week GT- Advanced repair
Groups with Advanced repair bonus include EEF and Iron Republic.

2 Weeks GT- Normal repair
Groups with Normal repair include Free Systems, Maehl Holdings, Casablanca Station, Blackheart Security and most independent colonies.

3 Weeks GT- Organic Repair
Groups with Organic repair include the Kasanthian Federation, the E-strain Manslayers, the Tzira, and aliens who grow their own vehicles that have to heal after each battle.

Special Notes:
Limited Resources- Any player suffering from Limited Resources after losing a few planets, or huge monetary expenditure, cannot repair their ships.

Resource Rich- Any player with a recent influx of resources can fix certain vehicles much quicker. Only Admin will tell you if you have a week of resource richness and what it affects.

No Production- Any player suffering from No Production has to buy, steal or capture factories to begin rebuilding their force again.

Certain vehicles fall outside normal faction builds.

For example, all Gunpods count as having immediate repair due to their exceptional design.

Also if a player is using purchased ships of another faction they may fix themselves faster than the rest of the player's fleet.

Also just to reiterate what has been said elsewhere.
Destroyed ships are destroyed and cannot be rebuilt.
It is already assumed your soldiers will recycle those parts that can be saved from the wreckage.
We keep track of them just to get an idea of vehicle kills.
