PreGame Faction Only Mission- Continent of Dead Quall Part 2

This thread is for incharacter tactical discussions about the mission involving the Lava/obsidian waves, and the air battle between TRILAT and IR on the Floating Isles of Dead Quall, over the Wall, and over the Ma'kh Isles of the Quall. Remember final actions only count if they are posted in the weekly missions forum under the appropriate thread.

I make a call to Sector Generals Deer and Palomedes, as well as to Director Marx of the Iron Republic. The forces under the Hive Queen Le-a and myself have begun a major invasion of the Continent of Dead Quall and request your assistance. You may have already heard of the beginning of the attack, the great lava wave that Le-a Hive Queens children sent over to avenge her fallen children. Her attack destroyed several of the floating islands and there is one more stuck within it after the enemy froze the wave with their foul frost generators. I am sending my forces to do a mimic of her attack but in a larger scale. I have also sent in hundreds of star fighters and 10 of my frigates to face the enemy's floating forces.

I hold no illusions however and do not assume that this attack will go off without a hitch, the enemy is crafty and powerful. They have many foul weapons at their disposal. I therefore call upon you to send armies to assist our efforts to rid our homelands of these genocidal fiends. I swear to you that if you do, and we succeed in pushing these disgusting interlopers off Kyrpos, you shall have my undivided attention at destroying any enemy that infests your own dimension. If you want to prioritize Kasanth I shall do so, If you want to exterminate the E Strain it shall be done etc.

So, please bring your fleets, bring your Brethren! Bring your power to bear upon the Trilat forces. United together there is no force in reality that can stand up to us.

Sorry that I forgot you Stark, you are welcome to help out as well

The power of the Quall is quite strong but tactically we are still planning a battle in 3 dimensions,
That is why our enemies might beat us. The wave attack is smart but it must be supported by artillery properly aimed and properly fired.

It will take a proper salvo of strikes to drive them back. I propose a similar tactic to one used time and time again by the EEF.
We use a secret technique to deliver the full force of our Domebusters right down on their heads.
I have already prepared a fleet of Century-class frigates. They will fire, their domebusters which will use the secret technique to hit their targets while being safely in our home dimension (safe from retaliation).
Then after they are in chaos I will use the same technique to deliver 3000 Brethren Drop Troopers, protected by lava spheres to behind their defensive line. If they get caught in the second or third lava wave they should be fine, if not they died bravely and honorably in service to the Iron Republic.
But how will we counter their technomancy?

hmm, that is right, the enemy does frequently use the foul leyas of technomancy. I know that chill works against it well but we don't have many shadow mancers. Perhaps your EMP weaponry might be useful in this endeavor. When the enemy uses their technomatic abominations and foul magiks we detonate emp bombs that have been scattered around nullifying their attacks? Could you supply us with these devices?

If we detonate a few drop trooper reactors it would have a fairly wide EMP affect. But Unity res-orbs will bring their soldiers back to life if any EMP strikes them.

hmm, i am unfamiliar with these rez orbs, if they can keep reviving the enemy soldiers that would be trouble. We have the advantage of numbers but if the enemy keeps getting up after we put them down the battle will be never ending. Would we have to destroy their bodies completely for them to stay down?

Res orbs are single use items created by the technomancers to bring their soldiers back to life if they are killed by EMP. It is triggered by the EMP so we can't just kill them with another attack then wait for it to work them EMP them.
I've seen them in action for two years now and I dread them. They make a normally tough Praetorian equal to a power armored brethren.

Would it be possible or practical to drop multiple EMPs? As they recover from the first one drop a second one to knock them out fully? I am not sure how difficult it is to make these weapons so it might not be practical to keep deploying them in the same battle? It could be useful as it leaves the body intact for capture or ease of destruction.

Timing will be tough, too soon and the EMP bombs will disable each other. Too much time between bombs and those villainous Unity Builders will create new Res Orbs for the Praetorians.
And we will be back at square 1.

Hmm, well it is too bad we don't have a stable supply of shadow mancers, it would be easier then. I suppose that is why the Unity allied with Kasanth, takes away one of their greatest weaknesses by making them an ally.

I suppose we will have to take them out in a more conventional way. If you can deploy some Brethren to keep my forces and Le-a's forces secure we can keep hitting them with the lava waves. They cannot ward against those and those frost generators can be overwhelmed with repeated hits. Also even if we cannot totally destroy them with the waves, we would create so many obsidian barriers between us and Garmen Fe's forces that they will become a much smaller threat.
The key is to keep the Unity and Kasanthian air forces from simply flying over the waves and attacking us. My air fleet can slow them down but I don't have the air assets that you all have. If we can keep their air forces at bay and prevent them from getting their ground troops close to the Quall warriors summoning the waves the enemy will be either destroyed or forced to flee.

Could my Quall artifice these emps with fire bombs to be set off after the emp bomb kills its victims to make sure there is no coming back for our enemies? Or if I can not artifice the emps maybe your tech guys can place incineray bombs to be set off after the initial emp blast to ensure the finality of their deaths.

I don't know Le-a HiveQueen, Can they?

We also should prepare in case the Kasanthians try and use Nightmares against us.
Id like to arm a few Quall with some extra Fort Lendill G-class las ers.
I think I can spare at least 500 of the them to provide anti-Nightmare suppression fire.

Does anyone have a solution if they launch technomancy based attacks at us?
The Unity and especially Garmin Fe can be deadly with their technomancy.

Yes their technomancy is going to be a problem, that is why we have been discussing the practicality of EMP weaponry, my warriors specialize in fire, I do have some horned dogs which use shadow but those are very rare as the vast majority have very minor leyas ability and those who do use mainly fire and some air. We need a way to shut down their technomatic abilities, and we don't seem to have enough shadow leyas to do so.

I do appreciate those Fort Lendil anti nightmare weaponry, the enemy nightmares while not individually strong can be a threat in large numbers. I am also quite perturbed about the undead Quall N'Drone that the Kasanthians have unleashed, those abominations need to be destroyed so that the dead may rest, or brought back if possible.

I think my Quall and I can artifice the EMPS with fire wall so that when they initially go off the fire wall burns up after the first blast of the emp to destroy the remnants of the dead. Hopefully this will work. Thank you for the fort Lendil weapons that will come in handy in the coming battles. As for Technomancy it is an unfamiliar to us Quall but through their use of it we can see that this is evil twisted prevision of the leyas and must be stopped at all costs and those who use it need to be made examples of. If we can capture a Technomatic person of our enemy I could impregnate him/her with my larva so that we may learn of this Technomancy and hopefully use it against our enemies. If you are against the Quall impregnating the person with Technomancy i am not above torturing it to get information from it. To learn how it works and what we can use against it would be most helpful.

With Respect Le-a HiveQueen, I really don't give a damn about what you do with your prisoners, though if Kal Marx is true to history, he will have a problem with it.
If you can bring technomancy into your Hive go for it.

Now back to the mission at hand, if we start with my bombardment, we should follow with the EMPs with the Fire walls. this should keep them busy while the next lava wave arrives. Then we rinse and repeat, as you prepare the next waves (Le-a specifically). That will be three waves total.
Wave 1 already hit. Wave 2 will hit after the bombardment. then we bombard again and Wave 3 hits.

I don't wish to upset Director Marx but if we can learn technomancy from our enemies this will be a great help to the IR and the Quall against our enemies. What more fitting way then the Unity to meet their end by the same means by which they tired to end us?

If there are any EMP Rifles, or grenades that my forces can have for this battle I would be appreciative. They would be very effective against the Unity forces. Due to the Shard Hearts these won't be the end all defense but it will slow the enemy down so we can then use conventional weapons to finish them off.
