Open Play Week 3 Space Battle - Infiltrating Ft. Lendill

The man known throughout the Free Systems as Captain Q sat at the captain's quarters on his flagship, the Esplanade. He had an agenda, and he knew what his next step was.

He recorded a voice message, so that it could be sent to the leadership of Ft. Lendill:
"To the leaders of Ft. Lendill,
I broadcast to the entire universe that you all smell and look funny. I know it sounds like a childish comment, but it's the simple truth. The lot of you are also a bunch of worthless gits. And I'm going to prove it to you. I am a man of opportunity, tied to no singular nation, territory, or government. I do as I please, and there's nothing that you all can do to stop me. I am going to attack one of three planets in your territory. I will either attack Grenaldi 7, Nanabozho, or Tapestry. The purpose of my attack will be straightforward: I will harry your defense forces, infiltrate your planet, and steal your precious technology. I will leave behind remnants that will inevitably infiltrate your society and corrupt your planetary government. I will then use that technology and sell it to the highest bidder. And, to make it a fair fight, I will even have the magnanimity to tell you that I'll be attacking with no more than 5 Capital Ships, 30 freighters, and 400 starfighters. So the question remains, are you lot at all capable of defending against my onslaught?

This message was relayed from a private location, via Lost Hope Station, to Ft. Lendill. As if to add insult to injury, the message was also sent through various channels across the Polar Expanse. The Illustrious Captain Q, thought to be retired, has brought himself out from the shadows and thrown down the gauntlet to Ft. Lendill!

Other than Standard Defense forces, (already listed under planetary defense), each player is only allowed a maximum of 8 Capital Ships, 50 freighters, and 500 Starfighters. You don't know which of the three named planets will be attacked, so be very specific as to what forces will be defending which planets.

This mission is open to all players. Be warned, all planets are in Ft. Lendill Space.

Will your forces help in the defense or in the infiltration? How do you plan on detecting "enemy" and "friendly" ships? Which planet(s) will you be assisting in the defense or infiltration of?

Rewards: Possible future Insurrection Missions on one of the aforementioned planets, researching to replicate Ft. Lendill technology (Free Systems)

Antagonists: Captain Q and his unknown allies. Any and all factions can become antagonists if they so choose.

Seems to me there are few things a little wrong with the setup:

First off, admin hasn't even generated my character sheet so I literally have no fleets to defend with.

Secondly, I am the only active FL player (I have tried to PM the others but everyone else seems to be out) so am I just expected to take the hit when you choose somewhere besides where I array my forces?

And finally, why is fort lendill (Who has been turtling building defense fleets for years now) limited in its fleet size in its own sector of space?

Just kidding. Erm, ok. Point by point:
1) Get admin to pip up and get his stuff done. (How did I know you had no fleet?!)
2) Uhm, I have no idea that you had no partners. The only people I know for sure who are in and out are those in my factions (because I did roll call).
3) The ship limitation was logistics based. Perhaps I should have two different limits: Ft. Lendill and then everyone else. Ft. Lendill's defenses would have much higher ship allowances than others.
4) If Ft. Lendill has been turtling, then those defenses should be listed out somewhere (at least my presumption), hence my other limitation.

Revised ship limitations (per planet):

Ft. Lendill - 20 non-light capital ships, 75 light caps, 200 freighters, 500 starfighters
Everyone else - 5 non-light caps, 20 light caps, 30 freighters, 400 starfighters
